Covering your tracks

Featured Replies

I live in an apartment offcampus with 2 other roomates. Now im not going to lie, our Computer has been used to search for some rather "off color things", When ever I use google or some other search page I usually get frequently used terms popup, and I dont really want to know what my friends have been looking at. How can I clear the search history? Ive tried clearing the internet history but it doesnt work

Thanks for the help, and not thinking im some pyscho perv...

rune,Ranger__999.gif I mean crap man, thats like his stomach plug on the ground back there, I mean im know doctor but that seems impossible due to body organs and cartelidge, i mean that was just one clean chunk

double click on the bar so a list of the search items come up. put the mouse over the first 1 and just press delete. do that until its clean

You just need to disable autocomplete if that's the only thing you want rid of. That is not really covering your tracks though.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

I'm not sure, but I thought search entries might be stored in temporary internet files...So if you're using IE, you can go to options and delete temporary internet files...If that doesn't work, try deleting cookies. However, these will take away any current log-ins you have, any "remember my password" types of things and the like. So consider that before doing that. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what would.

Google C Cleaner. (use your imagine to figure out what the C stands for) Its a really good program which cleans junk from your computer, I think search engine autocompletes are included.

Don't be afraid your life will end, be afraid it will never begin.

Disable autocomplete (IE) or the Saved Forms (Firefox). That way you do'nt have to delete it manually.
