December 9, 200619 yr The title says it all. A few days ago I got a virus, and it says I have a keylogger(and I obviously thought it was an ad), and now I accidentally logged in to my character(wasn't paying attention). Can someone help me get rid of it? My brothers and I already tried.
December 9, 200619 yr If you don't already have a virus scanner, I suggest you get AVG, install it and update it. Other programs you should go get if you don't already have them are Spybot S&D and Adaware. All of these are completely free so don't freak out if you see a donation link. After installing those, make sure they are up to date. Restart your computer and before the windows loading screen appears, press and hold/tap the F8 key several times. You should get a menu with several "safe mode" options you can arrow through. Select one of them ("Safe mode with networking" recommended so you have internet access) and run virus and spyware scans from there. You might also try using TrendMicro's online virus scanner too.

Alternatively you can get a free virus scanner from http://www.grisoft.com Install a firewall to protect your computer from external attacks. You can get free firewall software from http://www.zonealarm.com Be very careful about what programs you run to avoid a trojan being installed on your machine.
