It does now, if you buy all your supplies and sell the bows for 550ea. I remember making 200ea per bow before prices went up. :(

urm.. you buy the yews {200 ea} and then buy the flax {100 ea}. You buy nats at 250(ish) each, and that's 550 spent. Yew longs high alch for 768 gp. so, assuming you have a fire staff, you make 218 gp per bow.... which pwns.

This is where they want I should sign?

2) nats are 280-320ea

dangit!! my head is stuck with prices from two years ago.. sigh. well, you would still make 60some gp off of each, which isn't too bad of a profit.

Fletching was (maybe still is?) a great money making skill, which can profit other skills such as magic when your alching, crafting if you decide to string flax, and woodcutting if you intend on buying the logs.

Personally, fletching was great for me awhile back since I made the nature runes myself:

Prices:

Yew logs: 230gp each

Bow strings: 150-200 each (varies on amount seller was selling me)

Rune essence: 30gp each!! (Yes, this was before Jagex messed it up  )

Total Profit: 258-308 gp each!

But these days...

Prices:

Yew logs: 280-300 each

Bow strings: 150-200 each (haven't really changed much)

Pure essence: 100-110gp each!

Total Profit: ~158gp each

Well, considering that times change I would say fletching is still rather profitable, but if you're going to buy the nature runes.. Well, you'd better be ready to lose money if you intend to buy the other materials as well.

Gathering all your materials like yews and flax and crafting your own nats(plus mining p ess) gets you 768gp each bow.
