Metroid
Hey, been a while since I've done a tutorial. So here you go. =P Oh yeah, and all my tutorials are for photoshop if you don't know already. We will use this non-lightened sig as a example: Notice how the stock has one eye shut, this is perfect for a lighting effect, because it makes the 'scene' look more natural. First make a new layer (make sure it's at the top of everything excluding the border), and select the lasso tool. Set the feather on 1 px. Make a selection like this: Then right click and select "feather", make the feather 20 pixels. Now select a 60px soft round brush, on the color white and brush over the selection and you should get something like this: Now unselect the layer and set the layer to about 60% opacity, or whatever looks right. This should create a beautiful light source, which is very simple to make aswell. Here is my end result after a few tweaks. ---- Want more tutorials like this? thedepressedsquirrel
But the final result looks worse. It's as if you left a mug stain on the picture.
Metroid
Mug stain? Not sure what you're talking about but w/e.. Maybe it looks worse to you, but to anyone who has decent experience in photoshop knows the final version is much better. Protect the Light...
