Doom (the game) soundtrack. Where can i get it?

Featured Replies

I'd really like to have the soundtrack of the original Doom game from 1993. Does anyone know, where i could find it?

Hi,

You have several options:

1. Buy it online, it's available at quite a few stores like http://www.soundtrack.net/soundtracks/database/?id=4139

2. You know.. But not recommended.

3. There's also the MIDI version of the soundtrack which I can upload on request because I've had it for some time :)

Really appreciate your help, ..

1) That's the soundtrack of the movie, don't know if it's the same as the game

2) I get a ton of search results, but not what i'm looking for

3) hm.. if it's no problem, that would be cool, then i'd at least know if that is what i am looking for. Usually i hate MIDI (that's one reason why i play rs without sound), but i guess the game had midi sounds... lemme hear :)

btw.. congratulations on modhood. (if that is something were congratulations are appropriate)

Hi 8-)

I have uploaded several original DOOM midis for you at the Badongo file upload service into a RAR archive.

http://www.badongo.com/file/1899105

And as always, just for your own safety, remember to scan RAR archives just in case something could go wrong on behalf of the hoster.

P.S. I'm very positive you'll remember MainTheme and #14 :) The horror suspense #26 after 1 min is really cool as well.

garraghh! Listening to MIDIs causes me physical pain...

Thank you for those though. When i read this thread in off topic about Id game i remembered that there was one particular track, that really freaked me out. I'm quite sure it is #18 from your zip, but now i just have to install this game and check out for myself. (Probably easier then playing around with the MIDI kits until i get something satisfying. Those brutal riffs with this cosy MIDI kit.. :-X ). What's the cheat code to select a specific lvl again? and do you know in what lvl #18 plays?

EDIT: Just installed the game and it doesn't sound much better there :( . 12 years it rocked, now i can't hear it because the quality is too bad for me. *cries*

That's because the original game used MIDIs!

The quality is no different, you just remember it being better because when you first heard it, it seemed like good quality.
