Featured Replies

I tried:

Windows Updates

Downloading Latest Version Of Java

Switch Worlds

Use different kind of Java (sun, unsigned)

Restarting my computer trillions of time

But my game is still very laggy.

I can't take this anymore, I need advice quick. :wall:

if youre using IE, dont. use firefox.

try getting rid of any fancy windows themes, as they can sometimes hog the graphics cpu.

Why was I reported? I'm in trouble with my RuneScape game, and don't tell me at the same time I'm gonna get banned from here?

I swear, I tried my best not to spam.

EDIT: No, I use Windows Cilent.

Reported because it sould be in the Tech and Computer forum, and you're not in trouble, just a little misplaced topic.

But on topic, I don't really know how to help you, sorry...

I'm happy that I'm not doing the slayer task right now, anyway, I tried FireFox, but no. And what do you mean exactly by Windows Themes?

By the way, yes, I didn't know the right place because this is really the first time I ask for help acording to this on these forums.

As was said, the right forum for this is Tech and Computers. I will move it for you.

Your title

I'm so annoyed right now.
sounds like a rant. Please change to say something like "Need help with lagging computer".

Runescape is a very CPU intensive program. If anything else is running that takes a lot of CPU time (like a virus scan or disk defrag) it will cause bad lag. The Task Manager button on the dialog box can show you that.

I slightly modified the title so you can get more help. :)

If you tried all of the above and you still lag, you could try downloading the MS java, now discontinued. But you can still look it up on google. I've never lagged with it on Windows.

Good point by McGuff that you should take into consideration, RS runs almost 100% on CPU power, not your graphics card or any other factor. Make sure you're not overworking the processor.

I wish more people would follow this thread so we don't have to constantly ask people to post their hardware specs and any recent changes up to the problem starting... :wall:

If your internet connection has a high latency (such as a satellite connection) then there's nothing you can do about Runescape lagging.

I tried diskcleaning but runescape is still bugging me.

BTW, how can I get info like that Cruiser?

There should be some solution. I'm going crazy. :ohnoes:

try running less programmes at the same time, getting more RAM or defrag your computer
