December 23, 200619 yr For some reason, a few minutes ago, my computer automatically reset itself, turning off then turning on again. I'm running a quick spyware/virus scan, but i doubt thats the cause. If anyone has any ideas, just tell me...Thanks. December 24, 200619 yr Do this: right click my computer -> properties -> advanced -> startup and recovery -> uncheck the automatically reboot option. Then the next time something goes wrong it'll disaplay a BSoD. copy everything on the blue screen and post back.
December 24, 200619 yr Then the next time something goes wrong it'll disaplay a BSoD. Surely it wouldn't if it was an overheating or PSU-related problem? In my experience they are the most common cause of restarts. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
December 24, 200619 yr Author come to think of it, an overheating problem would seem the most logical... Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it

December 24, 200619 yr About recent web-adresses, its probably becuz when your computer retsarted it deleted your cookies maybe. Its just a guess but you have nothing to worry about Autocomplete has nothing to do with cookies. It would more likely be because the autocomplete history gets saved upon the closing of the program. Also, you cannot be sure that it is overheating with the information he gave. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
December 24, 200619 yr it could be the GPU overheating as well i suppose that happened to me an awful lot recently what videocard do u have?
December 24, 200619 yr It could also be caused by corrupt system files (update gone wrong etc), press start, click run then type "cmd" then a window that should be black will appear, type "sfc /scannow" just not in quotes, and wait for it to scan your system files. RSN: dbferrariLevel: 109
December 24, 200619 yr Surely it wouldn't if it was an overheating or PSU-related problem? In my experience they are the most common cause of restarts. Yeh so I was thinking if it doesn't display the BSoD then it would narrow it down. That's what I usually do anyway...(personal preference perhaps?)
December 24, 200619 yr That's true. It would still be worth doing. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
