Its easy man.... just used a premade terrain...

or set a new child in terain window and edit set the color to white set coverage up and fractal noise up click min alt and put -60 then youll get some snow or open premade surface maps .srf

as for the landscape, the camera angle could be worked on, the right side of the landscape has an ugly texture on it, so dont get camera angles that are close to that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The atmosphere also needs work, mess with it to get some nice things such as sunset's ect.

Nadril how do I go about making my own surface map?

You add a child and then edit it for color, what height it appears at, how much it follows the terrain, etc..
