January 7, 200719 yr right click on the shortcut for diablo 2 and click on properties. then click on the compatability tab and choose windows 95 or 98 from the list. also check the other 2 boxes for 256 colours and 640x480 and see if that helps

January 10, 200719 yr Are you sure your computer even has a graphics card? This is *very* important for any games (except runescape which runs on CPU) half-decent, which includes Diablo II. And indeed not all computers have a graphics card when you buy it, you may need to purchase a separate one. ATI and Nvidia produce the best ones which cost from $100 to $500. Just how important is it? Let's say, the difference between playing a game with a graphics card as opposed to playing it without a graphics card could be 100fps (frames per second), or even more. Some games wont run without it. If you're sure you have a gfx card (very likely) go to the manufacturer's website and download their latest driver. 8-)
