Got bored tonight and started thinking about alice in wonderland... (don't ask me why) from there my thoughts went to mad hatter... and his beautiful top hat... in the end i couldn't help myself and started drawing... the results are well... odd

The shading on the top part of the hat is all wrong, you've shaded it like a circle, it's supposed to be more like a cylinder and you should use gradiated, vertical lines for that. The eyes are a bit high up, or the forhead is just non-existantnose is pointing directly to the left, but the face is someone at an angle. There's something wrong with the hand, but I don't know how to describe to you what you did wrong. Also, the hat doesn't even look like it's on top of the girl, by the way..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: Just looked at it again, and the hand is waaaaay to big in comparison to the rest of the body (also looks very manly ;O), and it might look better if the forefinger was almost pinching the thumb while holding the scarf thingy...

for the forehead thing normally when you have on a top hat such as that it goes over the forhead... So thats why there wouldn't be any showing...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nose was at the angle because you are only sopposed to see half of it... its hard to explain... here ill post a pic

as for the hands lol i wasn't sure if i was gonna pop that in there... it was a last minute decision and i didn't spend much time on it...

OK since two people have told me this i guess its somthing i really need to think about... even if the hat is on the head I SHOULD have a forhead then??

I'm not sure how to describe this, but the hat seems perched forward too close to the viewer (perspective wise) while the hat isn't really on the 'head' just infront of it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Basically, the hat doesn't seem perched right (possibly too large in front area of it? not sure)
