I don't understand why people sample their work so obviously, it's hard to crit, no one will steal it since selling for runescape cash is banned. And not to be rude, it doesn't look professional enough to be stolen for use in anything, the only things I see to be stolen is game-work as is character sprites, level tiles etc.. But general pixel art shouldn't be a major concern, it's no big loss if people used my work without my knowledge, I see it more of a flatteration that someone took the time to use 'my' work over anyone else's :lol:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It looks like the character is built straight from a runescape character as reference, Id personally like to be more creative with it and do another angle, add some sort of posture. he looks a bit stiff atm. It's good tho, hope your carry on pixeling.

he is standing perfectly straight. this rarely happens, and sometimes when it does. they are being hung. (crappy picture, i know, but i did it in literally 1 second) Unless you want him to be standing purposely in attention btw.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I suggest you make him be leaning slightly more on 1 leg, to make him look a bit better.

 

 

 

Shade more, kill the stupid sample stuff! it ruins it, i can barely CC!!

Avenger didn't flame you, he helped you understand that your person is standing way too straight, and he compared it to a person being hung to show you how he interprets the 'stiffness' of your character. It's not flaming, it's C/c. And, by the way, no one's making fun of you or your art..

Sorry if it seemed like flaming, but i was trying to help. Also i'm a little... frustrated with something in real life, so that might be part of it :?

Anyhow, it's okay.

Editting your work not only helps you, it helps everyone else, its really hard explaining what needs changing in words so I personally think editing your work is the right thing to do. If your scared of people ripping it Id suggest putting a faint watermark somewhere, write your name in 1% transparency somewhere. so it doesn't stop us from seeing your work.

Try to stray away from overruling others opinions of your work. If others dont think it's good, and you do, that doesnt make it good. It makes you sound conceited. And as a beginner, extreme pride in your work is unwarranted. Even Leonardo disliked his work for the longest time.
