Will H
You know that 'Zap the mosquito to get a free laptop' Banner that makes a really irritating buzzing sound with no way to turn it off, and it makes the computer really laggy? (May only be in some areas, but im in the UK) Is there any way I can block flash banner ads at all, and if so, can you direct me to a program? ~ W ~

poiuytreza2
http://flashblock.mozdev.org/ http://adblock.mozdev.org/ That works only for firefox (all hail). Be warned: if you use filterset G and such (exellent set of filters for adblock btw) you will not see any banners at all. Jagex doesnt like that and its against the rules. Im just warning you ; ) --- Since januari/februari 2001 ---The Grand Exchange Search Extension

Kinslayer777
I should mention flash block is a lot more courteous. Some of your most favorite services, GOOGLE, for instance, are held aloft by ads. Flash ads on the other hand, are extremely negative in the worse of the bunch, and it retaliates against unfair ads, as opposed to the essentialness of ads themselves. Parabola
Ok, I don't understand. Is the limit a maximum of 450x175 pixel wise, or area wise? Why can't I have something, say, 200x200 [which area wise is much less]. Dis makes no sense to me Or, can I not even have 1x176 or 451x1? If by 'pixel wise' you mean no more than 450 horizontally & 175 vertically, and by 'area wise' you mean being allowed the same number of pixels as a 450x175 pixel image (78750) - with the latter, you could end up having an image which is 1 pixel wide and 78750 pixels tall. It would make no sense to have the rule based on area. It only makes sense for it to be maximum dimensions.
