Conspiracy Threads

Featured Replies

I'm suggesting a ban on conspiracy threads. They're nothing but spam and result in a lot of flaming because one person believes it's true whilst everyone else does not. That one person doesn't want to look like a fool so they continue to argue and we end up with a flame war. Simple proposal..

I'm not sure if this is aimed twords a specific thread like mine where I was one side and everyone else was another  ...

But what I have to say about that is, well, I disagree even after being that one person. If a conspiracy can be disproved, it can be disproved, but if ti cannot, it can help learning in many areas around the conspiracy to help ones case for or against one opinion.

I find conspiracy threads more mind opening than harmful myself. :P

I may disagree with him, but lol, he can argue way better than others. At least he hasn't had to result to ad hominem during his posts rofl, which is more than I can say for some people.

Besides, why ban it? These threads aren't common.

Don't click on them, or have a 'Debate' subforum so that people who don't wish to see them don't have too.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Yea, I'd say it goes back to the fact that people have their own opinions and that there may be more than one view on an issue, some cant even be proven true or false, but that shouldn't mean someone doesn't have a right to debate it ;)

Sure, that would work, a general debate forum for random issues, if Tip.it is willing to make one, I'm all for that... :)
