I know that the gloves and torso are the useful ones, but has someone confirmed the general opinion that the others are completely useless? For example someone wearing a runner hat, runner boots, Penance skirt, Penance torso and gloves could have some bonus that has not yet been confirmed.

the fighter hat could be some, if you are the kind of person wearing a warrior helmet instead of a berserker one... as it does give + in more attack types than the warrior helmet does =D

Not true! both the fighter and runner hats have good defence bonuses (as good as a rune fullhelm) and the fighter hat has +5 attack for all attack styles. The skirt is about as good as red dragonhide chaps, the healer hat gives +6 magic bonus, and runner boots... well those aren't too good, but they do look nice

what about granite pl8 eh? its pretty good.

Also, just because it's something new in the game doesn't mean it's meant to replace or even be considerably better than exisiting items. It's a reward from a minigame, and yes while the granite plate is a great piece of armor, think about the armors from Castle Wars or Pest Control.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's just something extra to put in the game to let you feel like you're gaining something from the mini-game (besides the fun of playing).

Thanks for the replies so far, but there's still one thing that greatly bugs me. In the news clip on the main site it says that there is "a new armour set with multiple uses" as one of the rewards. Any ideas what they meant with this?
