I just hit lvl. 56 farming, I have been doing the allotments mainly ardy, Catherby, Draynor and the eckto. As well I have some fruit trees such as orange, banana, curry-in catherby, cactus in Al-Kh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am mainly wanting to get my farming up so that I can grow the herbs to make the high level potions in herb. Of course I will have to raise it from lvl. 53 where it is at now as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am wanting to make lots of cash per day...one high lvl said he made his by farming and fishing ( I think) He said like a million a day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But some of you higher level players might let me in on some of your wisdom as if it is worth raising farming or should I hit herb?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have lots of herb seeds rannar and up. As well I have around 250 rannar herbs in bank.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Should I stop farming, sell the remaining seeds?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Should I concentrate more on the herb. lvl than the farm lvl.?

For farming levels. If possible, grow trees (and pay farmer to watch). Take a trip around the world once daily, chop down and plant a new. In addition to that, use allotments as much as you are in the mood for ;) Grow limproots and herbs + sweetcorn and higher if you have it. But basically, use trees to level farming, and spend your time doing other stuff.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For tree seeds and herbs: use miscellania, there are lots of topics about that around somewhere. Basically selling the maple logs will give you your money back, nests and tree seeds you get are a bonus. Herbs are a *LOT* cheaper than buying from players, still they of course cost more than getting them from killing monsters or growing them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you consider buying tree seeds to level farming: do some calculations on how much experience you get out per 1000gp payed when you decide what to buy and for how much.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Keep your herb seeds for now, unless in desperate need for cash. You will want to grow them sooner or later.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Regarding seconds for herblore: There are topics about that as well. Your house is your friend, and by moving it to relekka you can collect snape weed on waterbirth island very quickly. If you move it to canifis you can collect mort myre fungi easily if you have a basic altar in house. With house in taverly, you can buy vials from shop. Basically, house provides a way to quickly get back after each bank trip. Collect your stuff, duel ring tele to castle wars, bank, tele to house, repeat. For unicorn horns, dont hesitate to take 3 items and go kill the black ones in wilderness, just be careful what world you choose.

If your going for money, plant ranarr seeds.

When i farmed I used all the allotments I could.

I grew as many normal trees as I could

 

 

 

herbs and limpwurts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can easily make 1m a day with rcing thought, it takes 5k nats.

As a tree farmer I cringe to read this. Watermelons are needed to pay farmers for several higher level trees. If you are ever going to grow trees keep your watermelons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Use pineapples. Every time you go to karamja load up on pineapples before you tele out. I never run out doing this. I usually grow on average about 6 trees and 1 or 2 herb patches a day and it works great for leveling farming.

Is there any benefit for getting like levels over 70? Besides being able to grow other things and working towards a skill cape?
