How do you use recoil rings on a lvl 3 skiller to lvl slayer and not combat?

get a slayer task, put aon a recoil let the monster hurt you so it dies

Yeah, if you wanna become a level 4, 5, then 6 level skiller, cause you'll level combat.

If it's not an aggressive monster, then yes you'll need to attack. That's what has stumped me so about certain level 3 skillers with high Slayer levels.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you want to make a monster aggressive towards you.. there are multiple options. You could use some flowers, a rubber chicken.. maybe a Wild Pie if you can use it on NPCs as well (don't think you can). The problem with the flowers and chicken are that you can do damage with it.. and over time that experience will add up and you'll *gasp* level up a combat stat :shock: I still want to know how these guys and gals did it!

You don't get combat xp from recoils.

But you get combat experience from occasionally damaging the monster whilst making it aggressive towards you (if it's not already). So that adds up eventually!

Yeah use a weapon with insane stat reduction like -100 attack. examples include the Mouse Toy, Flowers, and the Rubber Chicken.

After a while though.. you will hit a one here and there. And those little hits every now and then really start to add up if you're planning on doing some serious Slayer'ing... like these level 3s with 50+ Slayer. They must have another way...

Pick flowers planted from mithril seeds. Mithril seeds are obtained as a reward from the waterfall quest (i think) or buy them from the store in the Legend's guild for 650ea. The seeds and the flowers are tradable.

are they non members? I lost membership and never finished legends, any other way to get?

They are members only and it is the only way to get them. You can however buy them from other players. Add Foooman in game and I'll give you some for free. :wink:

And toast, thanks for realizing my point. Even with flowers, damage will be done, albeit very little. But it only takes ~20 hits to level up something to level 2. Therefore.. over time.. it probably would happen. Therefore, your level would go up. Therefore, you wouldn't be level 3 for very long.

I'm pretty sure burthorpable monsters arent packed with people so you could just turn auto retaliate off anyways because no one would teal your monster.

Also, Burthope-able tasks are generally quite easy. And generally, easy monsters aren't automatically aggressive. But that's just me.. there may be some more than I would think that are aggressive toward a level 3.

Bring ring of recoil + lots of food. Everytime you get down to 2 hp, you eat :|

Ah-hah! I knew there'd have to be something. But.. do you not hit or do you rarely hit? There's a big difference. Same thing with the discussion on flowers/chickens, etc.
