February 6, 200719 yr Hah, I had this same problem. Found a great thing, free and it converts the WHOLE film instead of 5/10mins.Try googling for Videra iPod Converter. I suggest all iPod video users try this. /me requests a cookie for his services. It is free, it only has a small box asking for donations which you can get rid of.

February 7, 200719 yr 1) Rencoding full DVDs to the iPod format will take quite a while to do (hours) 2) Ripping said DVDs is technically 'illegal' because you're cracking the encryption used to prevent copying.

February 8, 200719 yr how would you do said encoding? With the converter program you are looking for. I don't know of any iPod converter off the top of my head because I don't need one. Full DVDs takes more effort and telling you how isn't allowed on these boards because of it's questionable legality (and the strong modding against piracy).
