Yer, they do take a little longer to die, but I've never experienced what you've described. Must be lag.

nah whips should be as left as is. besides theyre the intestine of an abbysal demon (i think) have fun crafting that.

It not a lag or glitch, the simply respawn faster then other monsters that your use to.

its happend to me but not on bears sence i dont kill em to low of a level for be
