Best Selling Iron Item

Featured Replies

I'm just wasting some time leveling some skills while I wait till I can buy members again.. And I was wondering: Which item is the best to make out of Iron bars if you're a f2p member and just looking to dish them out to the general store nearest to the smither. No selling to other players or anything like that. Also; which is the most cost efficient like.. which item will make the most gold for the least amount of bars.. if that makes sense.

pl8s for f2p, knifes for p2p.

If you're getting member, I'd say wait.

Knives are so much better than plates.

Last time i looked, i think making iron darts also gives some fletching xp, when you attach the flights to the feathers.

Might wanna look into it.

I'd suggest making knifes, arrows of darts. Darts require the tourist trap quest, but its not hard.

If you're definitely going back to members, probably worth hanging on to the ore until you can use rings of forging.

Platebodies are generally the best f2p item, giving the best value per bar, and using up bars with fewer actions.

If the store is overloaded with platebodies, do some 3-bar items instead.

If you really want to avoid a price crash, check the store first and hope nobody loads it while you smith.

At Varrock (best F2P smithing town), you can either smith and bank (then sell later) at the west bank (closest anvils), or smith in Horviks from the east bank (Horvik takes iron plates, chains and legs).
