Whats the fastest Hunter xp after 27, besides Ferrets. Should I stick to Tropical Wagtails, or move to some traking?

I got 1 hunter so I can't really help you, but I know tracking takes a longer for the exp then any other forum, I'd say maybe trap something, I don't know what though.

tropical wagtails are definatly fast xp, but after you can lie 3 traps and torch the traps to remove your scent, ferrets are pretty easy too, i did that and i was constantly pickin up the traps and reseting them because they were gettin caught right away

I would do ferrets, but I hate quests, and Eagle's Peak really doesn't sound too appealing for me.

oh yeah, that quest is dumb, you have to do a lot of walking (teleporting was really helpful lol), but if you cant hunt ferrets, then id stick wit birds until lvl 33, then you can use a deadfall for barb-tailed kebbits, those give more xp than birds and get caught very fast

idk about butterflies, ive never caught them, and i was still able to get to 47 in just two days, all i did was tracked until i could catch birds, then caught birds until i could use the deadfalls, then i did eagles peak quest, caught ferrets, did some falcontry, and went back to deadfalls, but theres a guide in the player made guides that shows you how to get to 50 in 12 hours i believe it was. I didn't do huntin nonstop though, just some here and there

Well, I had to go to a bank to make a sale, and on my way back to hunting, I grabbed a Butterfly Net, and Jar, and found that catching Butterflies is much faster then Birds, and, far more fun. I haven't tried deadfalls yet though. Also, I don't know how effective Butterflies will be at a higher Level.
