How to reduce image size without much loss of quaility?

I tried to apply mt other underbar and it's saying that I'm 4KB over the limit.... Ok, but how would I reduce the size of the image without much loss of quality?

Theres probably too many colours to realisticly use as a png. Try saving it as a jpg starting at the highest quality and slowly dropping until it gets within the limits.
