emoryarts
Would this be a good idea for getting my Firemaking up? I could use trading sticks and sit in the fenced-in area all day and chop/burn until I'm satisfied? NOTE: I've never done the trading stick game so I'm not sure if it works so simply. Chartres
It is definitely a good idea :)
Gold_Tiger10
An extremely exspensive and hard way of making fires...it'd be easier using Willows and Yews. :notalk: here!

Just get enough trading sticks to enter and burn away.
Kaioke
It's a great idea. I recommend you bring and an Anti-Poison and just kill the Tribal's there for Trading Sticks. If you try the "mini-game" you'll spawn the Voodoo Mask Things and you don't want those while woodcutting. =P Quest Cape Achieved February 14, 2007. -Not Maintained-1700+ Skill Total July 15, 2009All Skills 60+ - July 26, 2009 Drops: dragon - medx8, spearx1 ;; 3rd - helmx1 ;; barrows - dhaxex1, gspearx1, dhhelmx1
emoryarts
Do I have to complete a certain quest to be able to gain trading sticks?
Chartres
No quest required but you do have to start the Jungle Cleanup minigame to get the sticks. Also you can buy them from other players, I think it takes 100 to enter the area to cut mahogany. I'll post a link to the minigame in a sec, it won't take long to get enough sticks to start cutting in that area. Jungle Cleanup

emoryarts
Okay I got the sticks and I started the game; or so I thought. I cut some dense jungle and at the top is says 0% Favor. Is there a certain percentage I have to get before I can enter with 100 sticks? NOTE: It allows me to enter the fence with 100 sticks but doesn't allow me to chop the trees. A message pops up and say 'Start Jungle Clean-up First'.

Keep checking as you get your favour up. It might be that you have to get the first batch of trading sticks on your own.

Try something like : 1%, 100%, hack bushes and build the wall, ask villagers for trading sticks. And after you are allowed to go in, it's easier to bring a few shilo gems and sell them to that Gaboore or something merchant within the village. He pays in trading sticks \ Also, if mahogany seems too hard, go for teak. RetiredEx-E174Ex-Venqeance[Ex-Tha Familia3]
Jys
You might have needed to start Jungle Potion also if you didn't, that's what happened to me. It wouldn't let me start until I finished it. So if you haven't started it, that might be it.

According to the Knowlege Base you must have done the Jungle Potion quest to start this minigame. Sorry for the incorrect information.
