runecrafting pouch question

I was pk'ed while runecrafting, and lost my 3 pouches. I got a new small pouch from the Zamorak mage in the center of the Abyss, but for some reason it won't let me put pure essence in it. It says that it can only take "normal essence."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I got new medium and large pouches from killing Abyssal leeches, and they work normally. Do I need to charge the small pouch by using it a few times before it will take my pure essence? Or is there something else I should do?

How odd, sounds buggy to me to tell you the truth. I wonder if you need to get another small pouch by killing abyssal monsters rather than from the mage - makes no sense though. If you don't get an answer I would send a game query to Jagex.

It probablly has normal essence in it already somehow. Pouches can only store 1 type of essence, and it'll give you that message when you try to store both types.

Ok, it's working normally now. There was nothing in the pouch, but I had to fill it once with rune essecnce, before it would accept pure essence. Weird
