No, Edgeville is closer and perhaps the dwarven mine is even closer

I'd have to go with dwarven mines.

you'll have to try these option for yourself and see what you like, i think varrock east mine is closer, that one guy says edgeville and abyss, and another person says dwarven mines

If memory serves, the best area was the mining field just north of Rimmington. There's three rocks right next to each other, and provided you bring Fally and House teleports, you'd probably manage 500+ per hour.
