Actually, rings are constantly swirling into the planet...So technically they do touch the planet :D

Ok, get rid of the lens flare. The planet is quite ok, but your starfield is currently a noise filter. Use brightness/contrast to make it look more like stars and then erase/clone them around to create a more realistic starscape.

I dont like it... way better than what I can do tho... but your current sig kicks [wagon]

Hm.. nice, but delete the lens flare. (whas it supposed to be a super-shiny star? :P)

1st one looks better - does it matter if the rings touch, its more aesthetic than technical

I realy don't think you could do anything to improve on that, other than make a 1028x768 one for my desktop :P

Ok, first off:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Planet: it looks realy nice for a first try planet, i also realy like the rings on this one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But where you are lacking is in the overall compisition (sp?) of the whole thing. its just a planet in the midist of a noise fliter'd starscape. You realy need to add stuff like more planets, nebulas, and more varried stars to the mix :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall, the planet look nice, but the whole thing together needs a LOT of work.

Ya i know im going through tons of tutorials on comits and space explosions and stuff like that after i figure them out pretty well ill start to incorporate it in the picture
