ixfd64
I've noticed that some relatively rare items have fairly low street prices. For example, powdered wigs (street price: ~250k) are much more uncommon than flared trousers (street price: ~700k). Often, forum searches would show flared trousers for trade, but rarely any powdered wigs. However, today, someone offered me 1m for my powdered wig (most people who traded with me only wanted to see what it looked like). I didn't want to rip her off, so I offered some money back, but she said she was happy with the purchase. It seems that some people who really want an item badly will offer above the street price. For example, someone here once offered 1m for green d'hide (g) but still couldn't find any sellers! Anyone know why the demand of such items is much lower than the demand of more common items? For my first example, I guess that people think the dancing emote is better than the angry one, LOL. Adam007
Well supply and demand are separate things. For whatever reason the demand of any item is different. Whether or not the supply is high or low does not effect the amount of demand for it.
SwreeTak
If you really want one thing, and you got a nice amount of money, you're ready to buy this item for alot more than the street price. The price becomes higher, higher and higher the longer time goes and when this person wants this item really, really much it could become worth more then the double. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak
