The Dark Bow Experiments. The Giant Mole Trials.

I am hosting an event to test the ability of a theory I have about the Dark Bow special. The theory is based on the fact that the Dark Bow hits a minimum of 16 with dragon arrows (both arrows hitting 8). So my theory is if a team of people, each person with a dark bow, using the spec would deliver massive damage to the target.

The special attack is also guaranteed to hit 100 percent of the time with both arrows, for a minimum of 5 damage per arrow, or 8 with Dragon Arrows.

That being said a team of 5 people all using the special attack with the Dark Bow and using dragon arrows would hit a minimum of 80 damage in the first volley.

That being the theoretical minimum, the reality would be that some people would hit higher than the minimum; maxing out into the 40s making the damage even higher.

The special of the dark bow is called the descent of darkness (descent of dragon if you use dragon arrows), which inflicts up to 30% more damage with bronze through rune arrows, and up to 50 percent more damage with dragon arrows.

Some minimum damage values:

Team of 05 = 80 damage minimum.

Team of 10 = 160 damage minimum.

Team of 15 = 240 damage minimum.

Team of 20 = 320 damage minimum.

As you can see, if my theory holds up, a team of 15 people could kill every common mulit-team monster in 1 volley of their Dark Bow's "Decent of Dragons".

This combined with "Energy Transfer" would create near instant kills of any monster for any group. Thus, enabling the group to stay until they run out of arrows.

Transfers some of your run energy and all special attack energy to target; damages you.

This may even work on the KBD. I theorize that if you kill him fast enough he will harldy have any time to damage anyone, allowing you to use your dark bow without needing the protection of the Anti-Fire sheild.

What to bring.

Dark Bow

Several dragon arrows

Your best ranger equipment or Void Knight Robes with ranger's helm.

Food

Ranger Potion

Spade

A light source of some kind (lanterns work best, as the mole can put out your light)

Ava's Accumlator (for saving those expensive arrows)

If you are coming and cannot afford a dark bow, please refrain from attacking the Mole as that would interfer with the results.

anyways, I'll train my range to 70 and buy a d bow, but im wondering, are those tminimum hits with or without dragon arrows? and when you say a volley. . . . you mean 1 full charge or 1 spec?

The minimum with dragon arrows is 8 + 8 damage, so 16 damage minimum. The minimum with any other arrow besides dragon is 4 + 4, so 8 damage minimum.

The defintion of a volley is

The simultaneous discharge of a number of missiles or firearms.

So by volley I meant all the arrows that the team has shot at the same time, and yes we would be using the special.

Hell, I've got a bunch of spare cash. I'll grab a dark bow and some arrows and try to meet up. This sounds like a really interesting theory. Can't wait to see the results!

i just bought a dark bow but it used up most of my money so i dont know if i can make enough to get dragon arrows-8k each!!

Event went well providing only 2 people other then me showed up.

This idea definitly has good prospects, just need to work on the timing of the volley, and definitly needs more than 3 people. I really wish more people had showed up.
