CnC New signature (I'm a bit rusty)

Background made from gradients and smudging and blurring.

Render is Cloud from FF7.

Meh a little better I will work on this one more.

Constructive Criticism and Comments please!

My eyes are drawn to the center where that ray of light is coming from. Not good. It should be in the bottom right croner, to go with your render.

Onto the render...It looks like it has had little blending done to it (Looks slapped), and the render itself looks bad (Not your fault). That random crap on his sword needs to go too.

Try using Fractals in your signatures, but only ones that are appropiate and go with the flow. And make sure you blend those in two, don't slap them on in random places.

Go onto deviantART, and search signature tut/sig tut, and set it to Popular, and All Time. That gives the best tut's that are around.

Keep practicing, and don't give up!

What program do you use? GIMP? Paint.Net? Photoshop?

And yeah I used to be a photoshop pro but I lost it when I cleaned my hard drive =|.

Now I'm stuck messing around with gimp, and yeah I will throw in a couple C4D's for ya thanks you the comment.

Haha, I know what it is like loosing all of your Hard Drive, I'm going through that now :cry:

No! Don't throw in a couple! Choose Fractals that are appropiate for it, whether that be only one, but used in different places/ways, or several. Don't forget to blend! ;)

Oh, and don't rush when making signatures. You're not on a time limit. Take as long as you need to produce good work, even if that means spening a few hours, or even a day working on it. There is a reason why you can save it layered, and that's so you can do it over how ever long you need.

Yeah it sucks.

And I usually do take my time, I think the longest I took was 2 weeks to make a angel desktop background. Took just a reguler angel render that was pointing and at the point at where her finger ended there was a galaxy that I made and stars were the background took me forever to make, but it looked really good.

I will see what I come up with in the next couple days and post it on a new thread. Thanks for the help.

I just hate those sigs, IMO. Lens Flare=FAIL!

GIMP is better then you can think.

Anyways, on new sig, first of all, NEVER USE SO BAD QUALITY/BORDERED RENDERS!

The black border around the dude is just so... ugly.

And the dude himself, I'd rather die then use a render with so low quality.

The ripple effect is repetitive, get's boring. The sig is kinda empty, you have lots of empty space on right side. Never ever use text, unless you really need to. The current text in there is just horrible. The sig would really advance with a bit of blending. Try smudging or blurring and sharpening. You could also work on flow, currently you have none of it, whole tag is boring.

Seeing your work doesn't make me too sure about that you have been a photoshop pro. GIMP and photoshop aint that different.
