Emergency Help ASAP!

HELP! My friend on RS made me go into a chat room on AIM then he's like OWNED OWNED! He says he is gonna get my AIM password! It wont let me change my pass but it still works to login! People in my clan are telling me this is a keylogger for my whole computer. The guy also said that it will install rouge.dll files nonstop (idk wat those are) and i just spend 200 dollars fixing it last week! Somebody please tell me whats going on and how i can stop it before it happens!

How did you get the keylogger in the first place? You can't get one just from logging into AIM.

http://www.lawasoft.com download fere spyware scanner and scan your pc now. also unplug internet while u scanning, find file delete and you should be fine, go back online log in and change all passwords u can, not just runescape.

You can also scan with Spybot: Search & Destroy as well for extra security. This is the link.

A program called "hitman pro" (google on that) downloads 10 different free spyware programs and runs them. Disadvantage is that it takes several hours to run. But your computer is very clean after that.

Almost sure you have to accept any incoming files, even with something as crappy as AIM.

So I wouldn't piss myself just because some 13 year old you call a friend lays claim to the possibility of "hacking" you. If it didn't happen within an hour of him revealing himself... chances are its more then likely false. That and people who go around and do this stuff aren't that dumb enough to let you in on their intentions, before or after the fact.

So yeah... more then likely a lie. Take the precautions if you want though, you can never be too safe.

As long as you didn't directly connect or share any files with him, you are fine.

However, if you DID directly connect or share files...and if he knows what he's doing, he'll find you. I could find out exactly where you live and almost everything I would ever want to know about you from just that simple action of you connecting with me, so trust my knowledge on this.

If anything, just get some anti-spyware stuff...if you're up for it, hijackthis is a great program, provided you know what to do with the info you're given.

as gonpost said the only ways that he could actually start 2 do something would be:

1: U connect to him e.g. file sharing

2: You visited a website or link he sent u, this could have downloaded a keylogger.

3: just if u wanna be safe scan ure computer with the above mentioned programs.

Download http://www.ewido.net/en/. It find thousands of things adaware and spybot dosent find.

A hacker would never reveal his intentions, he is very fake.

How bout you just stay off this particular forum from now on ?

i recommend using avg free anti virus its very good a free and download free verison of ad-aware and/or spyobt S & D

lastly i dont htink you got a kl form just going into a aim chat room im thinking you download somthing or look at a kl image of some kind
