Merchanting

I. What is merchanting?[MRCT]

Merchanting is a way of making money without using your skills, it focuses on making money. True merchanters donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t care about skills in the first place; they want cash to easily train their skills later on.

II. What things should I merchant? [THNG]

There are many things good for merchanting but these things take part in the ones people like/dislike:

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ How much time it takes to merchant things. The more time it takes the more profit you will (probably) make.

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ The amount people buy/sell. Some people want a high amount of stuff to merchant.

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ The place people buy/sell.

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ The amount of cash needed.

ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâ÷ The amount of cash when you should stop doing this.

When: I recommend this when you have 100k-500k

Comments: I suggest that you find someone who buys your cowhides before you start buying them; this will give you a faster merchant-time. You can tan them into hard leathers for 3 gp each hide. I suggest this the first time when youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve got 1k hides; hard leathers can be sold for 200gp each. Which would then give you a nice starting budget

100k profit: after 2k cowhides

Feathers

Buy for: 4-5

Sell for: 6-8

Buy where: Varrock west world 1

Sell where: Varrock west world 1 or forums

Time: Takes a long time

When: suggested when you have 400k-5 mil

Comments: This is the method IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m using now; it takes a hell of a time but gives a steady income.

100k profit: after 40-50k feathers

Big bones

Buy for: 250-300

Sell for: 350-400

Buy where: Varrock west any world

Sell where: each Varrock west world 1 or forums

Time: If you first find a buyer it wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t take long, otherwise it takes a medium time.

When: 300k-1 mil

Comments: This is the method that you can use instead of feathers. But watch out for scammers that change big bones for regular bones, I have still got 1k reg bones.

100k profit: after 1k big bones

Rune ess

Buy for: 20-30

Sell for: 30-40

Buy where: Varrock east any world

Sell where: Varrock east world 1or forums

Time: takes not long.

When: 100k-5mil

Comments: this method can be used for a long time, this is the method I used to build up my first mil out of only 50k.

100k profit: after 10k rune ess

Lobsters

Buy for: 150-200 or 50 in Karamja shop

Sell for: 250-300

Buy where: Karamja shop or varrock west any world

Sell where: Varrock west or forums world 1

Time: takes very long

When: 500k-2mil

Comments: never ever tried this, if you buy in karamja think of it that it takes a hell of a time to run back and forth.

100k profit: after 1k from players, or 500 if vought in karamja shop.

Eyes of Newt

Buy for: 3 each

Sell for: 150-250 to a P2P herblorer.

Buy where: Port sarim.

Sell where: Herblore section of any forum

Time: takes very long

When: 3k-1mil

Comments: never ever tried this, but think of it that it takes a hell of a time to run back and forth. I suggest you bring Falador teleport, or go to draynor.

100k profit: after about 300 Eyes of Newt, 11 runs.

Woodcutting

Yews

Buy for: 200-220

Sell for: 250-270

Buy where: Varrock west any world

Sell where: Varrock west world 1 or forums

III What do I prefer? [MPRF]

I prefer to use either the rune ess, the coal, the feathers or the cowhides method.

I usually have ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâbout 500k feathers on me, since they sell for a decent price. I post on forums and wait for buyers. During the waiting time I either train a skill or I merchant other stuff.

Pros: Makes Great cash, probably the best in the whole game of runescape.

Cons: Takes Pretty long.

Pros: nice income

Setting up a business

I What is a business? [bSNS]

The focus in a business is to let people work for you, you have to have some perm buyers & sellers and some good starting cash. A tip from me: find something to do for when your business is not so expanded at the beginning.

II How do you set up one? [sTUP]

When setting up a business you will have to have perm buyers & workers. You will need to stick to your prices and be able to fire people if they work against your rules. You need to find people that will do your work and people who buy your stuff.

III What businesses can you set up? [WHBS]

There are some businesses that you can set up. Remember, a business is not the same as merchanting. So just having perm buyers sellers and keep selling & buying coal is not a business. There is an example with bars & ores.

Smithing business

First you will need to get your ores, I suggest you start with iron & coal.

You buy iron 100 each + coal 160 each

420 each bar youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll say. But, you will also pay people 50-80gp to smith your bars.

This files out the noob croud while also filing out most of the ppl who think they r 2 good 4 chicken killing.
