Mercifull Posted October 27, 2007 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Sun 4th Nov at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre the 2nd Annual Abertoir Horror Movie Festival will be screening Poultrygeist at 8pm followed by a Q&A with the legend himself Mr Lloyd Kaufman :D Also on Sunday is the Masterclass ''Make Your Own Damn Movie'. Individual tickets are available between ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã4 - ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã5 each, or film passes for the whole festival (with the exception of Lloyds Masterclass) are ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã27.50 (students) and ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã32.50 (full). Passes include 10% bar discount. Lloyds Masterclass is ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã8.50 (passholders) and ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã12.50 (all others). As far as I know this is the only UK showing i know of. Heh, yeah I just checked the site. Looks like 3 in the US, 1 in Spain, and 1 in Canada. Went to the Masterclass at lunchtime today which lasted for a few hours. Lloyd was a really good speaker and he really knows his stuff about the industry, it wasn't boring in the slightest and there were lots of oppotunities to ask questions. After the masterclass there was a book and merchandise signing which was good and we got to have a little chat. Also I got really jealous because he got to kiss Suzi and I didn't :( boo. We also wanted pictures taken but some radio ppl were interviewing him for ages and we didnt want to wait that long. In about half an hour we are off to the screening of Poultrygeist and there's gonna be a Q&A after so im gonna have to think of some more questions to ask. We'll update soon, ciao for now. Having explained to Mr Kaufman earlier that I was a Troma virgin, he said he was happy to de-flower me and sat next to me during the movie (much to Matt's disgust, as he wanted to sit next to him). It was very bizarre but totally enjoyable. Lots of nudity, blood, guts...etc - everything that makes a good movie. We took advantage of a photo opportunity: Also, Matt managed to catch a Black Sheep stress toy which I'm sure will keep him entertained for hours.
