You must be referring to the challenge question: "What company owns the game that this fan site is centered around?"

That's probably to stop bots from being able to register and it should be a lot easier than a captcha for anyone who actually plays RuneScape. The answer is on every page of the official website and this forum, look at the bottom.

Yeah I knew it, but not everyone will....just saying. They should try something simpler.

Define 'simpler.'

Because to me a company name that features quite heavily on fansites and the main game website alike is pretty simple.

I mean the runescape homepage alone has the jagex logo, copyright to jagex and the jagex store now open bit, anyone who is a half way intelligent human being above the age of about 8 should know the answer if they play the game or at least be capable of googling the answer.

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Anyone who knows anything about Runescape knows which company created the game. And at any rate, it's not that hard to google "Which company made Runescape?".

Anyone who plays the game would be able to answer the question, and considering this forum was made for the game they made, people with a legitimate reason to join should know the answer. Those who do not can still google the answer. It's main purpose is to stop bots, which it generally does very well.
