Thoughts of an Ivy Cutter, III

(0 reviews)

Hello again, my valued Tip.It readers! All four of you.. You know who you are <3: Today, with the huge poll arising.. my Woodcutting ambience has been broken.

The Wildy appears to be making a return! Now I am no expert in predicting Jagex like some of our community, but the thought this poll is a publicity stunt scares me a lot, the cynicism of Jagex to do this and toy with it's members just for a World Record? Shameful!

The thought of Wildy returning immediately excited me, I voted for both of my accounts and nearly wee'd at the thought of PvP and Free Trade returning.. But after flicking through the forums here I was filled with dread. The Falador riots when PvP was banned were some of the most iconic moments in RS history, but we as a community came through it and have adjusted our play styles for this.

How will the re-introduction affect Runescape? Scammers will return with tricks both new and old, PvP will no longer be Green d'Hide and a Rune Scimitar as I remember it. I am not pretending to be an oracle, and it really interests me to know what you think is going to change, good or bad if this comes in.

Personally, I like the idea of prices being as of old, it baffles me that yews are 450gp and so on, I have, personally an old school mentality, but we all adapted to the new G.E etc.

But then again what do I know :) Post a reply! I'll take thumbs down too! :D :P

- Cheers Fi

I have an old-school mentality too my friend. I think that free trade will increase communication between the players again. There was something about walking through varrock or fally with hundreds of traders spamming out their item that made the market seem so much more... authentic. You had to actually look for and negotiate for your and item and price. Harder and maybe frustrating? Yes. A better experience? Yes. :P

I agree it was that freedom of the world that was so charming when you were starting out :) No one likes to be controlled! I just hope they implement it all well, G.E is well managed, what becomes of Revenants? and Drops like Vesta Long?

Revenants are not being removed, and neither are PvP drops; they've made it clear that no content shall be removed. How these will be implemented are a mystery to me.

They stated that there was going to a recommended price for trading. So I don't think scamming will as bad as it was.

@ Gandalf- Yeah I agree that the new interface at the trade menu, and recommended trade price will sort out scamming a lot. :)

@ K4ylan- As for, keeping in content, that's quite exciting tbh.. We could have in that case a merging of the two.. Giving reason to poach the pesky Revenants for Corrupt dragon weapons or something..
