Mosque at Ground Zero
We'll have a lot more problems than being offensive to people if we have a terrorist base in new york. But you're searching for a needle in 5 haystacks.

At least you still have yours. When I first started yesterday, that was the first artifact i found. Unknown of what I was doing, I pressed the "@" when i didnt have anything else and wasted it  The point is I don't have enough god power, so he'll sell it before I can activate it. And he did sell it Oh dang. I didn't think about him selling it.... But have you ever tried telling him to pray? I just did that and it restored 25% Godpower. it doesn't always restore that much. even if I told him to pray and sacrifice, it'd be a long shot that I got 50% god power back.

[hide] The Muslims involved in this project have done so. And I suppose they'll be refusing overseas funding from known radicals? Sure, whatever. *shrug* Exactly - they won't. You don't know they won't. Instead of giving [cabbage] reasons why not to do it like they might accept funds from some source, give us a real reason. I might walk outside tomorrow, fly to where you live, kill your girlfriend, your dog, and your family, 18 random strangers, and throw you off a cliff. Have any proof that I won't do it? What I was attempting to say is that he has no idea of that. They've already stated they will be accepting foreign funds - and some of those might come from radicals. If they take funding from radicals, they can scarcely disallow radicals entry, can they? [/hide] How do we know you don't take funds from overseas radicals, we have no proof otherwise, sure you can tell us, but there's still that what if. That's all it is, a what if. We can't stop the building because of a what if. The likelihood of them taking funds from overseas radicals in hopes of having a safe haven in new york city is the same chance that the president will turn out to be an evil lizardman from Jupiter.

Glenn Beck and a call for religious rebirth
200 years have passed huh. Ok no more freedoms, time to kill woman and children in the street if they arn't Christan. Stick the men in camps having them work to provide food, water, electricity, etc. Ever wanted to cuss out a support guy over the phone helping you with a problem? Well now you can, it's even encouraged, they're second class citizens now that 200 years have passed! THINK before you type something out. He/she did think before typing it, you're the one who didn't understand his/her point. The point being made is that a lot of the Constitution is largely irrelevant in today's society, and there's a certain truth to that. As time goes on, governments and society progress and change. In many ways, parts of the document are outdated; amendments like the second one and the tenth one, although the tenth is mostly just misunderstood by a lot of people who argue that the federal government has stepped on the states. The electoral college is also very outdated, and some argue that we should abolish the Senate completely because it's undemocratic. The House was expected to be the most powerful part of the government, but slowly the Senate and the Presidency are becoming far more powerful. Besides specifically mentioning the thing about the right to bear arms, it only said it's been 200 years since it all was passed. Unless you're specific people will interrupt messages how it sounds to them. He/she mentioned all of it, so I assumed he/she meant all of it.

Mosque at Ground Zero
You're quite correct - I used that as an example of how some Muslims, at least, hate america. I think it's reasonable to assume as well, that some Muslims living in america, perhaps in new york, also hate america. Those ones certainly might visit this mosque. Really. What percentage of Americans hate America then, do you think? :wall: Lets see. The 911 attackers lived in the states, didn't they? How many times on this forum have we seen people say "i hate the states sometimes, I'm moving to Europe"? Look at the GB thread. Given the number of muslims that live in the united states, I think it's fair to say that at least SOME of them harbour ill feelings for america. So does the WBC but we don't tell them to move. To be fair we do tell them they cant protest at certain places though, but we still have to provide them with a place to do so, because it's guaranteed by the constitution.

Firstly its not a mosque its a community centre with just a place to worship secondly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution and finally the religion it self is not to blame but the people Im a muslim..but does not mean im plotting and scheming evil plans Actually reputable sources would not disagree that 40-45% of you harbors evil thoughts about America. It's scientific. It's bull, that's what it is. If someone said he killed someone in the name of god, do you blame Christianity? No? Then why do you blame Islam when someone says they murdered someone in the name of Allah? that shows right there that you consider all of Islam, regular people and extremist factions, to be one and the same. Nice job, fail troll is fail, gtfo, the usual crap.

How in the world can you have an opinion over whether or not a certinan population exibits a certain trait? That would be like saying "In MY OPINION, 98% of the people in the USA are Cuban and the rest are Russian" You can't just have an opinion about anything. ... But I just did. What I am saying is I believe that despite they say they are peaceful, I think otherwise. That is the dumbest thing i've heard in a while.

Mosque at Ground Zero
For the sake of having an enemy I think. The average American, if he isn't Christian himself probably counts a few among his friends, and unless he hates everything related to religion, knows that if a Christian group did the same they don't represent the whole. I'd assume it's different for Islam. Could assume that the average American doesn't know many Muslims personally, but he is going to see everything in post-9/11 pop culture saying they're evil. While my stance on the mosque remains, this is unfortunately true. I do believe (though I haven't read the koran [And most of you haven't either] so I have all the potential in the world to be wrong) that Islam is a violent religion. However, I still do not believe that every single muslim, not even the majority harbor hate. Though I believe many many do (maybe 40-45% IN MY OPINION), to think everyone does is simply foolish. And you're exactly right ALG again, we call Timothy Mcveigh a freak, we call Osama Bin Laden a muslim. While Osama is definitely higher up there (obviously) in the terrorist realm, the term muslim has become synonymous with terrorist. Islam stems from Christianity. They ever recognize Jesus as a prophet. It is hard to imagine they would be a violent religion since they do.

its ironic because the rally is led by the very kind of person who qualifies as a moron. Also, smaller government is not necessarily good. In nearly all conceivable cases small government allowing private industry to fulfill the public's needs is more economically efficient then a large government. For proof, just look at what has happened to Europe. *points to Canada* Did pretty well recession-wise didn't we, and we're socialists by GB's standards. You know America, whether it's Religion, economic theory, or the color of your skin. If it's different than us we hate it by default.

Please, show me where I said all muslims are extremists and it represents them as a whole. What I said was; priests who are pedophiles are alienated from the church community because they explicitly have broken the rules of the church in this regard. Radical Muslims are not alienated or refused service. Once again, this ties in with my original point - this mosque will not exclusively serve those muslims(the huge majority) who are normal and not radical. It will serve the radicals as well, and therein lies the offensiveness. If you looked at a man you had never met, could you tell just by looking he was a pedophile? How about a extremist? Care to say how they would discover these people as this?

I don't get it, what's wrong with that picture? I don't really watch/listen/whatever to him. Heck I don't even know if he has an internet, T.V., or radio show. So I don't have an opinion on him. About the speech, honestly it sounds like a bunch of fear mongering. Country has turned from god, no light for us, we have no hope unless we act now, etc.
