Dont Feed The Troll
What program do you use for your pixel art? I've been thinking about getting back into making some sigs, even if it is just making one for myself. I used to make pixel sigs and sell them back when it was allowed here. I really like your style, and it's kind of inspired me to get back into making them.

Healing - Melee Fight Caves
[hide=Dat quote chain] This, all quite correct. Personally I brought as many as 8 brews because I intended to use vengeance on Jad. But if you have ovl + super prayer, you can bring something like 3 ovl - 10 super prayer - eee and have 14 spaces to bring random crap, such as mage gear (?), broad arrows for fletching xp (??) or maybe alchs (???). is there a guide to sidestepping 360's? (Like a video one so I can clearly see what's going on) I know there are videos of meleeing the fight caves somewhere, and they probably show the kiting of the 360s, so you could probably just look up "meleeing fight caves" or something similar to that on youtube. It is quite easy to explain though. Basically what you do is stand one or two squares away from the 360s that way they aren't able to melee you and can only use their mage attack (which is why you will have protect from magic on). As you see them using their magic attack (yellow ball shoots out of their tail) you click to attack them. Right after you do damage, you step back to where you were standing previously (1-2 squares away, out of melee range). As they use the magic attack again, you attack and step away again. To do this properly, you should have auto retaliate turned off, that way you aren't constantly being pulled towards them. Edit: In response to the OP, presonally when I do the fight caves, I bring 4 brews for emergencies, however last time I did the caves (yesterday I believe it was) I was able to do the entire thing with only using soul split to heal, and finished the caves at full health. Keep in mind, this was with maxed melees, chaotic rapier, slayer helm (on task), overloads, and using only deflect prayers to kill Jad in order to avoid having to deal with the healers.. Sounds easy enough. Would melee fight caves be something I could do casually with my stats then (I would be ranging Jad, and possibly the 360s.) I've always wanted a fire cape but put it off because of the time it takes. Yeah, I'd say you could do it fairly easily. Void does help speed it up, but will require more healing due to the lack of defense. If anything, I'd suggest trying to get a tzhaar task and accepting the challenge that way you can use the slayer helm and still have good defense bonuses from your plate and legs. I've never actually done the fight caves with void, but I could imagine it would require quite a bit more healing supplies if you lacked soul split. If you've tried before and have failed at Jad, due to healers or whatever, I would suggest trying the deflect method. Even though you don't have access to soul split and turmoil, I think it would probably still be worth it to give up piety and eagle eye, just for the ease of killing Jad. My last fire cape I got in 50 minutes while on a task, and I didn't even use turmoil. I always avoid usuing turmoil because I fear not having enough prayer pots left for deflecting Jad, but then every time I finish the caves, I have all my super restores I brought, and probably 5-8 prayer pots left, so I guess I really should be turmoiling. If i dont manage to get curses before my attempt, what is the general plan for the healers. I heard that you HAVE to kill them now. [/hide] Honestly, I have no clue about what you would do about the healers. They are the reason I only use deflect prayers when I get to Jad lol. I've never managed to actually kill Jad with a wepon because I get all jumbled up with prayer switches when trying to agro the healers after they spawn. If I were you, I'd just work my ass off and try to get the curses as soon as possible (again, this is assuming you have the same issue as me and the healers get you messed up with prayer switches).

TDs Attacks
Yeah, I've been considering that. I'll probably soul split when I get more experienced there, but as of right now, all the switching prayers and wepons is pretty hectic as it is lol.

TDs Attacks
I'm using Karil's Crossbow and Chaotic Rapier + D Def. My rapier usually hits pretty accurately, and usually for 350-550 so I only have to swing once or twice before going back to ranged.

TDs Attacks
Alright, thanks guys. These tips should help me stay there a bit longer I hope. Also, I have yet to use protect from melee there lol. I'm usually only within melee distance for one or two rounds of combat unless my darklight is failing and won't hit. Usually though, they don't have the time to switch to their melee attack.

Yeah, when I was there getting money for 95 prayer, I had read a drop table that said Kree drops 18-21k at a time when it's a coin drop, yet I was getting mere 1k piles like you some times. <_<

Snare then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSBhzaj_9nM If entangle, why not snare? Oh, I was just asking. I wasn't aware that any of the spells like bind and snare and what not did any damage. I thought they just stopped the other player from being able to move.

Do it with flowers without deflect hits or slayer-helm not overloaded (just jad ofc). Use a sling. I dare you. Hahaha, maybe after I stop being a noob and actually manage to kill him with my rapier a few times instead of just deflecting him to death. The only reason I use deflect to kill him is because I'm too nooby to deal with the healers and always get k0ed trying to agro them. Then again, I've always tried it with ranged. No need to agro the healers when I could just claw spec him and rapier him out in a few seconds right? Wind strike is the most difficult (longest) way to kill Jad... though nowadays it might be wind rush, or w/e the lowest level spell is. Bind? Since when does bind do damage? Also, worst hard clue ever for me: Worth 28k. Was totally worth the 15 minutes.

Age Old Money Making
If you don't mind training for a while, then 85 dungeoneering for frost dragons would be a great money maker. They're one of the best consistant (you don't have to rely on rare drops for you to make money there) money makers there is.

Making back my bank
What do you buy from the RFD chest that makes a profit? everything You can buy everything. I buy the chocolate bars, cooking apples, and pots of flour. Its about 130-150 k profit depending on prices. The rest I can't be bothered to mess with. all the tools also, or just food stuff? Here's what I got from buying all the items in the food section of the chest: Not sure about the spatulas and rolling pins and what not, but based on their store price and their G.E. price, it doesn't seem like they would profit.

TDs Attacks
I've recently started doing TDs every now and then between every few slayer tasks, for a few reasons. One is to break up the monotony of killing countless monsters over and over, and the other is in hopes of getting some drops to be able to buy better slayer gear. My biggest problem so far at TDs, is avoiding damage. Is there any way to tell which attack style they will switch to next? There have been times where they're maging me, then they do that thing where the look up and roar, and then they go back to maging me some more. Then there are times where they are maging me, they do that roar thing, then they switch to the ranged attack. So, is there any way to know which attack style they are about to use, or do you just have to guess with your prayer and tank that first shot before switching to the correct prayer?

I know the feeling. Not with Nex, but at other GWD bosses. You see the green text and your heart jumps, then you see a few thousand coins is all, and you cry to yourself.

You know you've dungeoneered too much when you see spiders like this and think "Oh damn, I don't have my cure runes on me!" Edit: Fail clue incase anyone was curious. Hard clue with a reward worth under 40k ftl.

I'm with you. I don't think it looks awful. My only concern is that it looks so damn stiff, like it was made from cardboard. Reminds me of a Family Guy episode... "What is that, some blue board?" "No, it's Chris' blanket." "Gross." Haha, I remember that episode.

I'd be surprised if the stats are in any way better to what we currently have access to. I'd be more inclined to think that the capes will have no stats at all, like clan capes. They're aesthetic items, surely. Jagex are not likely to hand out Chaotic capes to people who have played for a few years. Yeah I can imagine the capes of 10s will have stats all worse than a 99 cape. The cape for all 99s be slightly better than skill capes And master cape be better still But the 5 and 10 yr capes i cant imagine being better than a skill cape Why would a cape that requires 13,034,431 exp to get (level 99 (skill cape)) have better stats than a cape that requires 133,658,300 exp to get (all skills level 90 cape)? Edit: Even the all 70s cape will require more total exp than a skill cape will. Eventually the quest cape will need more experience than a trimmed skillcape, and that has higher stats. I can't imagine the quest cape ever needing more than 10x the exp of a 99 skill though. My point was that it would only make sense for atleast the all 90s cape to be better than a skillcape, seeing as how it takes over 10x the exp of a 99. I can. It already requires somewhere between 3 and 4 times the xp for a 99 iirc. And given time it is inevitable between new skills arriving and the game advancing the total xp and max lvls needed for quests will rise at some point quest cape will have crazy high reqs. According to RSWikia's highest levels needed for each quest, the total exp you need to complete all quests is 19,954,537. So the quest cape doesn't even require double the exp of a 99 skill yet. This is why I find it hard to imagine the quest cape requiring over 10x the exp of a 99 skill in the future. The only way I could see that happening is if Jagex started releasing a lot of quests with a lot of 90+ skill requirements. So far the highest they require is 80 magic (or 85 combat, but combat level isn't really a skill level).

To do a clue, or not do to a clue. That is the question..
Third age doesn't ballance it out. After doing over 350 hard clues from 85-97 slayer, and no rewards being worth over 1m, assuming the one I have in my bank gives me third age melee legs (the most expensive third age item from hard clues) and each clue takes 15 minutes, it would be something like 560-750k/hour. Really makes me not want to do clues anymore, however, a sudden boost of 120m to my bank would help me out TONS.

#3 Didn't use any brews that run, just did it all with soul split. Think I might bring some bolts to fletch next time, seeing as how the caves are getting easier and easier with each run I do. Got an abby demon task afterwards, just like after the last Jad task. Maybe I'll get to go get another cape after this abby demon task lol.
