  1. I would love to make weekly updates, the problem is that I have no information from insiders whatsoever. Is there anyone who does talk to the contenders and knows what everyone is up to, possibly knows what everyone has in mind for the future? Someone like A13d, who did some great updates. If so, please pm me or post here. I just need information and wouldn't mind to typ it out once a week.
  2. Yeah Glacors are around 4m/h and an Effigy every 60-70 minutes, but the main disadvantage is the Magic Xp (if meleeing minions about 1:4 melee to magic Xp) which also applies to Ganodermics. Da Broman1 will have 200M Magic by 200M Mining, so that's a thing.
  3. If he's seriously thinking about all non-buyables, he might aswell flip in the meantime. He could do cheap methods, maybe not the most efficient but better than quitting if you're that far already.
  4. 200M all won't give you 'true happiness' just like a religious belief or mindset would give. But neither does a study, work, or even a family. I'm sure fulfiling such a huge goal does give an enourmous amount of satisfaction for years and years. 200M can be compared to doing high school twice (timewise), but takes way more willpower to wake up every morning and play for 11 hours straight. And not just playing, but as efficient as one can be. I can't speak for any contender here, but if I would accomplish such a goal right now, I'm sure 10 years from now I would look back and be proud that I sticked to the goal I set, a goal thousands of people couldn't reach. Of course you're right, Suomi is probably smart enough to realise that he won't get anything more out of all this except for satisfaction. I feel a sense of disgust from you towards the contenders, correct me if I'm wrong. But even Obama won't find true happiness in being boss of the world ;).
  5. Suomi got 24,943K RC Xp last month, about 24,943,000 - 900,000 from effigies. An effigy is on average 59,279 Xp. If a month is 30 days, Suomi got 24,043,000/59279/30 = 13,5 effigies a day.
  6. Thanks alot! I'll check them out.
  7. I'm 86, going for 99 and 120 a little later on. Just started dunging again since a year or so, need to get from 86-99 for now. I am looking for people who know what they're doing and are not letting me throw away my mouse/ragequit. Is there a clan for DG'ers under lv100? Please please please. I can't stand 117/77 anymore. Thanks.
  8. Can I have your point of view on the with-time-everything-is-achievable-matter, Jebrim?
  9. Quit or flipping @ 15-30 mins a day.
  10. I play this game as efficient (in terms of time-wastement) as I can. I am in a rush constantly, I don't play minigames, parties for a 99 by friends are a waste of time, etc. I get my enjoyment out of results more than out of playing itself. Total levels is all that matters, and that means I gotta do some skills I wouldn't be doing if I simply played this game to 'fill up my time'. However, time is something we must cherish and value. Therefore I set myself the goal for the Comp cape, quit after. Only after this achievement I will be satisfied and I'll have the inner calmness to devote my time on something else. And you are right, after the introduction of skillcapes getting a 99 became so much more important to most of us. I would rather have a lv70-based character than a couple of 99's and shitty stats. I never was and still ain't a fan of the skillcape, but what can you do?
  11. 99 WC is a big deal to some people, as it was for me a couple years ago. Two weeks ago I got 99 Slayer and Fishing, and I didn't even smile. Our standards adjust fast, but that doesn't mean our standards are the standards. Honestly, it's arrogant to say their goal is not important enough to share with you as you spent more time on the game and are probably older, and therefore have higher standards. What is the point of making a goal if you know you'll get it anyways? You set a goal to see if you can achieve, not to confirm to yourself and other people that you will actually get it. To wait over halfway until 'revealing' your goal tells me you're scared to fail and I don't see how that's any good. And lol @the miracle thingy.
  12. Why don't you ask her yourself what's up with her playing style? Maybe she loves RS so much she doesn't want to complete the game within 20 years? Facepalm ahead, then I'll contintue facepalming at your ignorance. FYI, I actually tried to ask her myself, but she didn't respond. Maybe you got some more luck. Also, I think you meant 'Villandra' instead of 'Vandrilla'.
  13. If your account was ripping away from you right now, how would you respond? That's a good question which I have been asking myself lately. I don't know. I would either make a new account and try to max it as fast as possible (the Numbar1 Boss-way) or simply give up and think about what I'ma spend my time on. The smart choice would be the last one, I just don't know if I could live with an unaccomplished goal. Do you think the structure of the game, (large amounts of experience/clicking in order to reach level 99) is a way to keep you playing while you might not enjoy doing it? No and yes. I personally love the grinding and so perfecting whatever I'm doing. Grinding is what the RuneScape meta-game is all about, and that is what makes RS special. I do notice that the majority of the players don't like the grinding (hence why a small minority is 138, in comparison to WoW's 85 for example). On the other hand, for some people grinding can be addicting or, like me, the reward (satisfaction) is addicting. I guess most of us have certain skills they don't particulary like (oh Monkey Knife Fighters :|) but have to do anyway in order to accomplish levels or XP-goals. Other people decide to simply not do what they don't enjoy. Seems rather logical but to me personally, weak. Basically, grinding divides the die-hards and the so to say I-play-to-kill-time players. You said your goal was to get a completionist cape, but when you started playing was that your reason for playing? You mentioned that you will get 20M in each skill before quitting, are you adding this goal to keep playing and prolong the runescape section of your life? I've always wanted total levels more than my friends I guess, but after my 3-month holiday in Australia (I returned 4 months ago) I decided I'd really wanted to complete RS. I'm not sure I will get 20M all yet, have to figure that out. I really have to get that straight for myself months/weeks before I get the comp cape. Even if I decide to get 20M all, it will be done in spare hours in order to let everything come > RS. Right now it's quite the contrary, lol. I'm curious if you're in college now, or will be next fall, I can't tell from the way you wrote your post. I've started a new study this september. Thanks for your response, I find it interesting asking the questions that we all think about when we play but push off to the side because we fear what the answers might be, so I respect your willingness to answer truthfully, I'm not sure I would have at the time. Thanks for your kind words. Everyone should ask themselves why we do what we do (applies to everything: work, study, gaming, social life) and what the best thing would be in order to improve yourself. It saddens me to see that people play to kill time. That's not what life is about guys. Either enjoy it or quit.
  14. I've always had a strong urge to finish what I'm doing. Satisfying myself by completing whatever comes on my path. Together with the urge to perfect myself I simply can't let things be the way they are; unfinished. This goes for playing the piano (getting better than my friends/family), creating a huge and close to complete hiphop-collection, willing to learn everything about everything. And, I would almost say 'unfortunately', playing RuneScape aswell. I set the goal for a completionist cape (not the trimmed one, I do have some common sense) and I'm doing pretty good. In order to complete this goal I play as much as possible and am basically neglecting my study. At the moment the urge to 'complete' the game > doing a study or atleast, spending a lot of time on my study. No worries though, I'm blessed by a good brain and it shouldn't be hard to catch up with the tests etc. When I'll get the cape I will either get 20M xp each skill or just quit right away. Either way, I won't spend valuable time on this game anymore; maybe when I got a spare hour I might do some skilling and/or merching. I am both scared and excited for the moment I will basically quit RS. How will I respond to the, I can say, huge change in lifestyle? But on the other hand I'm excited for all those new things I can learn and experience outside a screen, or atleast outside a gaming interface. When I look at myself I'm pretty sure I play this game mainly for my own satisfaction, which I will get by 'completing' the game. I love the game and I obviosuly play because I find it entertaining, but if I didn't had this goal I wouldn't be playing. It would be a waste of time. That's it, I hope I made myself clear. Ask if you want.
  15. Suomi did beg for donations.
  16. Sorry I just slept 8 hours and went to cycling. I play rs for fun and enjoyment. There are so many things I enjoy about it. Talking with friends, feeling of accomplishment and progress. Runescape is meaningless but so is everything else in life. Would take pages of explaining why I enjoy rs but read my Tip.It interview you want to know more. Also I do tons of other things while playing Runescape. Just because I play RuneScape doesn't mean I can't do other things. Like I have said many times I sleep at least 8 hours day and exercise at least 1 hour a day which is more than most people do. Also hang with my friends daily. I used to work a lot and invested my money, I am not getting any money from the goverment. It's actually totally the opposite, they steal my hard earned money because I have to pay taxes. It's funny how people don't know the least bit about me and still keep posting things about me. Honestly just concentrate on your own life, you will thank me later. Thanks for the reply. I agree with your viewpoint on life. Not sure if those last two sentences were directed to me, but I didn't criticize nor offend you in the slightest way. There's a difference between genuinely interest and criticism and it seems that some TIF'ers can't tell. Good luck with your RS-career and later on, everything else you'll find worth devoting time on :).
  17. And after 2 pages of discussion and 10 people answering the question which is not directed to them, the question still stands. Suomi, why do you want 200M in all skills and why do you decide to spend your time on a videogame? Can everybody now just NOT answer this except for Suomi? How hard can it be, unbelievable.
  18. I am actually interested in the answer, Suomi. What's your incentive as you obviously know this is not the most healthy lifestyle both physical and mental. @Sorator, he is genuinely asking and it's kind of rude to call it criticism.
  19. Jagex would be better off advertising for a change instead of modifying/worsen the game itself. It's not that new players quit after a month membership for whatever reason, what Jagex seems to be thinking. Dat marketing.
  20. You can cannon Blue Drags in the resource dungeon @ Taverley Dungeon. Not sure of the rate but 300, 400 per hour should be alright.
  21. We are talking about being efficient time-wise, and since ticks are time I don't see how ticks (or losing them) don't refer to efficiency? Maybe I'm missing something, English isn't my native language.
  22. You don't understand efficiency, or atleast not what efficiency should be. The defenition of efficiency related to 200M all skills will be: 'Losing no ticks with the fastest methods existing, neglecting money issues since there is infinite money.' This 'infinite money' is a overexaggerating obviously, but you can come as close as you can get ('over the border'-way would be to simply buy 100B in irl cash, but more realistic would be donations, dicing, flipping). So, Makaveli_93's 82M-month could be a 100M-month in the same amount of time if you were efficient (not losing ticks etc., more I can't tell about you since I don't know how you Slay). So, if one decides to do train Prayer with D Bones because he doesn't value his time over a certain amount which would make training with F Bones more efficient over D Bones, he still is NOT efficient! Why? Because he doesn't make money by dicing or flipping (or he doesn't know how to do it properly). And if somebody is disabled (shaky hands or w/e) and loses every other tick a tick, eventhough he trains with the fastest methods available, he is not efficient. Can't help it; efficiency is objective.
  23. She doesn't play how most of the people here want her to play. For example, she uses magic for Slayer, stuff 'we' would call 'inefficient'. People can play however they want eventhough some people think differently. But as the graph on this page shows, she might be 'inefficient' but far from inconsistent. And after all, consistency > efficiency in the long run :).
  24. And it still mindblows me how I can talk to a random person and expecting him to answer. Good job Jagex :D.
  25. If you mean by powerfishing Barbarian fishing while alching/dropping: Start off with 2 or 3 empty spaces for fish you'll drop/alch. I believe you need about 20 urns per 4 rock lobsters. Also a summ pot ofc, fishing rod, nats when alching (wield fire staff), bait. But yeah, just do one trip and you can figure out by then how many of each you really need.
