No. Ok, from a relatively objective standpoint. Satisfied?

My money-making and yugioh are all tied together. I scale yugioh packs. The heavier ones contain holographics. I sell and buy more. I'd rather not netdeck everything for yugioh, I'm shooting for originality, and the new format starting on September 1st is going to be better than the current format.

I want to ask you guys a question. What do you believe makes Harry Potter such a successful series? In my opinion, looking from a purely objective standpoint, Harry Potter has mediocre writing and storylines. So I just want some opinions.

Germans claim to have broken the speed of light.

The fastest speed ever is exactly the speed of light. What are they teaching kids these days? -
1. Release my breakbeat album 2. Learn bankai 3. Make money 4. Learn to scratch 5. Make a competitive yugioh deck 6. Under 20 seconds on the rubick's cube(I'm like at 23) 7. Become a ninja

Damn, I went into this thread thinking that there would be discussion about quantum stuff. Theoretically, you can "stop" everything around you by travelling at light speed. If you want to know more, read a book about this stuff. I read Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene. It's just some light reading, nothing too advanced, but I'll have to say, it's pretty enlightening. He gives an analysis of something like what Lavignator mentioned- stopping your own birth or seeing your older self(cannot be younger yet, all hypothetical time machines only go from the time it's built into the future).

It's a Dream - myself, vocals by kate lesing I'm starting to do music production again, so I made this song. Acapella was easy to find, and I couldn't resist.

AP classes. In my school, they count an A in an AP class as a 5. I took 3 my sophmore year and 3 my junior year. And also, I in no way contradicted myself ever in my posts. Don't study =/= Don't study for tests. Understand guys? I'll elaborate just a bit on what I want him to study. OP, please study things you are interested in. Again, I don't want anyone to take offense or to take pleasure in attemping to flame me. So please, if you want to flame me, do it by pm. AP classes are 6 for us I think.. 4 for regular A 5 for honors A, 6 for AP. Oh and we can't take APs until we are juniors. Where do you live? California. My school does 4 for both regular and honors.

I'm still left with some very irritating questions about Harry Potter though, although the most irritating thing was Rowling abusing her power as writer and truly showing the world what deus ex machina is all about. Paintings - Wtf? Are they sentient? The Dumbledore painting fully understood Harry's choices at the end of the book. Magical power and skill - Rowling never explained this. Was it natural talent that made Dumbledore so brilliant? That made Hermione learn spells quicker than anyone? Rowling certainly mentions magical power, like when Harry said Dumbledore could cast a disillusion charm so powerful it could make him completely invisible. We know it differs from wizard to wizard, but we never find out how or why. Magical spells - A movement and a word put together. Some spells, like the unforgivable curses and the patronus, require concentration, willpower and whatnot. But that's all there is to it. You don't even need to think about what it does, like the first time Harry used levicorpus and sectumsempra. I find it very disturbing. Rowling definitely should have explained more.

Playing piano is pretty fun for me. If you find that you're getting bored of your music, make your own. Improvisation is probably the coolest part of piano.

The immaturity and stupidity in this post is shocking. You learn stuff in middle school that helps you in high school, if you learn nothing in middle school you know nothing when you get onto high school and well those freakin colleges do care about your High school GPA (grade-point-average). dude, dont listen to this junk about how you should be a fat lazy slug just having fun in middle school. Have fun, mature enough to realize you should pass your tests (hopefully you've already realized that), and dont make friends with the wrong people I never told him to fail his tests. I never told him to not study. I never told him to stop learning things. Ok fine. Middle school does count in the sense that school is for learning. I was wrong. I just meant that grades and such don't mean anything to high schools and colleges. However, I suppose- if a grade is a good evaluation of your status in the class (which I believe isn't true, I got all A's and don't recall learning anything helpful for high school) - then yeah, I guess it counts. Btw, for your information, I really think I know a bit more about procrastination and laziness, seeing that I have done those such things all through middle school and high school, and have a GPA of over 4.2 and SAT score of over 2300, which in my opinion, makes me not THAT stupid. I apologize to everyone for any offense my post may have caused. That was not my intent.

If you like fantasy/science fiction books, you'll like this book. The only problems I found with the book was very bad dialogue and main characters injecting hordes of deus ex machina steroids.

Middle School is a joke. Have fun, don't do hw until the day it's due, don't study for tests. Nothing counts. Nothing will effect your future life. Colleges don't care. Middle School isn't really that bad, so don't stress about it.

[hide]I'm pretty sure it's because he loved all of the innocent people so much that he was willing to die for them. This in turn allowed Harry to die to get rid of the horcrux inside of him but still be able to return and finish Voldemort off.[/hide] I don't think that true. Dumbledore told him that it was Lily's blood that prevented Harry from dying. Thereofre, it was Lily's blood that prevented Harry from dying. Pretty simple. Rowling never followed up on what Dumbledore said...like "that may have made all the difference." Harry's willingness to sacrifice himself (aka love) really led to the protection of everyone against Hogwarts against Voldemort's spells, as Harry pointed out that they weren't binding anymore. I'm pretty sure it was actually stated in the book that Harry was able to return because he allowed himself to die. I though Dumbledore said it. I guess I'll just pay more attention to that part when I reread the book later. Nope, Dumbledore never said that Harry's willingness to sacrifice himself led directly to his survival of the killing curse. He said that Lily's blood in Voldemort let directly to Harry's survival of the killing curse. I agree that Ron is an idiot. He always says mean things to everyone, laughs at people, does dumb things and whatnot. He must has imperiused or confunded Hermione lol.

I was under the impression that it wasn't really love that destroyed Voldemort, it was just Dumbledore's manipulation of everything and Voldemort's own mistakes, arrogance, and ignorance. I'm pretty sure Rowling meant that Harry's love translates into his selflessness, and he was willing to sacrifice himself to save everyone. But, of course, that really doesn't make sense since nowhere did Harry's love directly lead to him defeating Voldemort. But it did protect the others from Voldemort. I really don't know haha.

It found it very funny that Dawlish is everyone's punching bag. Seriously, whenever they get an auror to tail/take in custody someone, he goes and gets himself hurt. You gotta love deus ex machina. The Harry Potter books are filled to the brim with it.

Somewhere in there, it was said that the sword could appear to a true Griffindor when they were in great need.
-
Murtage or whatever he is called told Eragon that Morzan was their father in the ancient language, so I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
-
Lol, so so true. The real "fight" last like half a page. Such a dissappointment.

Eragon fights the Ra'zac with Roran and defeats them. He goes back to the elves and learns what is making Gallbatorix so strong. Eragon and someone infiltrate his palace and steal the last egg and it hatches for either Arya or Roran. Eragon defeats Gallbatorix because he is the main protagonist, which makes him unkillable until he defeats the main antagonist, Gallbatorix. Then Eragon and Arya get married and sail off to search for a new land for the dragons, and Roran stays to become king.

I just finished the book a third time. Just wondering guys, what "spoiler" are you talking about? For me, the only "spoilers" I had access to was the whole book, which I read on Monday.

Hmm...I think I'm going to actually get a hardcopy of this book tommorow. I think I prefer that over reading text on my computer. Does anyone know a good place that I could get the book? Maybe Costco or something? Here were some of my theories before reading the book. -the locket horucrux was the one they threw out while cleaning, and Mundungus has it -Snape is a good guy, and has some very close connection(relative or friend of relative) to either Dumbledore or Harry -Wormtail will betray Voldemort and sacrifice himself to save/help Harry -Wormtail will play a part in destroying Voldemort, much like that of Gollum from LOTR -The deathly hallows are weapons that Harry will use to destroy Voldemort -Harry will undergo no improvement in his "magical" skills. This is apparent, as Harry never really improved ever. -Harry has a large advantage when duleing Voldemort because his blood was used to create Voldemort.
-
That is incorrect. Read the book more carefully, and actually read what Harry is told at King's Cross. Anyways, I just read the book a second time. Didn't like the epilogue- because endings shouldn't be liked. Rowling really could have elaborated more on some of the characters. Rowling closes it out nicely, but unfortuantely people will still have enough questions by the end of the book that the answers to those questions could easily fill another 700something page book.
