  1. You're fired from FutureSight Inc. because you came back to Tip.It Forums too soon and got forum burnout. :P (BTW, I do know what it feels like to get forum burnout. Not fun stuff. Anyway, I'm trying to un-kill the thread, so I hope this works as a good joke!) ~D. V. "Thread necrosis... not my specialty." Devnull
  2. Banned for beating the cake. :P ~D. V. "Well, this joke had to be cracked some time... Thanks for the opening!" Devnull
  3. Granted, but since you're only a Jack Of All Trades, you never master any and therefore make many mistakes still. I wish I were far better at the games I like, without it having detriment on anything else. :| ~D. V. "Currently feeling low..." Devnull
  4. iVampiress, if you have an alternate account, come over to FunOrb (another of Jagex's sites, where you can use your RuneScape account to login) and play some Steel Sentinels multiplayer while you train on RuneScape. I think you'll find it to be wild fun. :) ~D. V. "Pumping Adrenaline... Fun!" Devnull
  5. You're welcome. Sorry for the extra chatter. :anxious: ~D. V. "I'll buzz off now." Devnull
  6. Karvinen just shot you a page where it states that Java can have multiple threads running at once, which means that a Java application can run on more than one core. You just had to read the first line. Okay, not Oracle/Sun then, although I thought I had read something about a chain of issues. But I do remember reading on the RSOF that Jagex has been developing RuneScape for only running on a single CPU core at any given time. It might run on what looks like both on a Hyper-Threaded CPU, but I still wouldn't hold my breath for that one. :-k ~D. V. "Better to have low expectations, than to be let down severely..." Devnull
  7. Well, that update was a letdown. There were people expecting the Money Pouch to hold multiple currencies, such as gp/tokens/tokkul/etc., and all it does is hold gp in its' container. Worse, not being able to unequip anything from the toolbelt is extremely problematic. I hope Jagex changes the designs of the Money Pouch and Toolbelt before we land up with a ton of ranters. :( omg0dzilla, thank you for posting a video about this before I found out the hard way. BTW, is that achievement for the Shears linked to the Explorers' Ring in any way? If so, that spells hell for anyone that already has an Explorers' Ring. :ohnoes: ~D. V. "This sounds like we're gonna have some trouble brewing." Devnull
  8. Ooh! Ooh! May I? *stokes furnace and heats up MS Logo firebrand* I think not! :shame: <*pulls out a bucket of water, puts out the fire and chills the firebrand, then telekinetically blasts the firebrand to small pieces...*> And anyway, I think that MicroSoft Windows and/or Internet Explorer amulets would be a better idea than stupid firebrandings! Since Jagex doesn't like to give F2P pet-type items, I find that very unlikely. Although, it would go well with the reconfigured about:blank page I've got thanks to Stylish. And then there's this nifty FireFox browser that I'm currently using, and the fact that I do like... <*glows for a moment, and reappears as a giant, furry, anime-esque, purple fox...*> ...this animal form, so I could consider a fox pet like the perfect familiar for me. ~D. V. "Well, now you've got me crazy over the idea!" Devnull (p.s.: This post just got the laughing icon because I'm likely to have freaked someone out. It ain't every day that you see male purple foxes around. Unless you're me, that is, because your animal familiar is one.)
  9. No, http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/lang/Thread.html Uhm... Could you please point out what the hell you're talking about? Just tossing a page at somebody without using the right anchor pointer is confusing and doesn't convey much of anything. :wall: ~D. V. "All I'm getting is noise and confusion here..." Devnull
  10. Banned for pushing me too close to using the report button in the Corrupt A Wish thread. :shame: ~D. V. "Too much fun up to an extent..." Devnull (p.s.: You've hit the far edge of that line... It won't be that far out in the future, because I don't like landing up taking things rather personally.)
  11. Granted, but when Santa realizes that you're the reason all my family members and friends are dead, he uses his powers up by reviving all of them and making them not worth killing anymore. This results in you looking like a lame donkey. :boohoo: I wish BlazeTheMovieFan wouldn't cause me to take things in a forum game like this so personally. <_< ~Mr. D. V. "Yes, BlazeTMF, you caused me to take it VERY personally." Devnull (p.s.: Watch what you post, damnit! I almost hit the report button!)
  12. I can prove you're delusional. I was actually out to revive "Corrupt A Wish", and I succeeded! :ugeek: So, BlazeTMF, banned for failing to realize I've been using reverse psychology on you. ~Mr. D. V. "And I dragged you into it all too easily..." Devnull
  13. Granted, but then I come back from having been shot, fully healed and invincible. Immediately thereafter, I free everyone, both jailed and not, and you land up jailed and miserable like Ex-"Fire-Lord Ozai" from the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" cartoons. :P I really wish people would quit trying to kill me when I post in this thread. It's only gonna fail now, due to perma-invincibility. :-w ~Mr. D. V. "Murdering me isn't nice... and now the invincibility is permanent." Devnull
  14. You're fired from the "Corrupt a Wish" game because I just posted there before I posted this, and therefore I can now be considered the evil thread killer. ~Mr. D. V. "Who's the twisted evil one now?" Devnull
  15. Granted, but you land up unlucky in having to deal with the sarcasm overloads that D_V_Devnull (Me!) pops up with every so often! (Oh, wait, we already do that, so I've already corrupted your wish!) I wish that I had a wish to think of right now that could be corrupted, but I'm fresh out right now, sorry! ~D. V. "Well, I got one half of it..." Devnull (p.s.: Well, it looks like if anyone killed this thread now, it was me!)
  16. My mistake, sorry. I totally forgot about the pre-multi-core HyperThread-enabled, Intel P4 CPUs that look like multiple cores. I'm running with only a single-core, non-HT, 2.4 GHz Intel P4 here myself. #-o ~D. V. "My memory has its' limits, so I'll go "D'oh!" now." Devnull
  17. Banned for not saying what "ISE" stands for. :P ~D. V. "My offline self isn't a telepath!" Devnull
  18. I'll normally use any booth but the SouthEast one, depending on how much quiet I need/want and whether I find myself in need of recharging my run meter. Don't use the SouthEast booth unless you need to talk with a lot of people at one shot, or you will be sorry. :ugeek: ~D. V. "That's my verdict and notes, as well as my warnings." Devnull
  19. Banned for being way too much into the military thing, as well as seeming to have lost your humorous side. :( BTW... <*Teleports away from BlazeTMF's summoned jail, and floats high in the air...*> ...you look like you're in need of a rest, so go take one and then come back to this thread. I think it will fix your humor issues. ;) ~Mr. D. V. "I'm thinking BlazeTMF is a bit short on energy... especially since he wrongfully tried to jail me." Devnull
  20. I don't know about No$GBA, but I can tell you that you're sort of under-spec for RuneScape. :geek: First off, RuneScape only runs on a single core. (You can thank Oracle/Sun for that one, I think?) That renders systems above 2 cores partially useless for performance gains with RS. About the only boost you're going to see is going to be caused by most everything that's not RS running on one of the cores while RS runs on the other one of them. The only other positive I see here is that you're running at 2.8 GHz, which might give you a small edge. On the other hand, your Graphics Card needs to be a minimum 128 MB of VRAM (any VRAM type will do) for the Hardware-Accelerated modes. Personally, I find that 256 MB VRAM is more the minimum for good performance. But since you only have 64 MB VRAM, I would be extremely surprised if those modes will launch, if RS doesn't block you from doing it at all. :( I have no idea about Safe Mode performance and running it all with CPU-based rendering, but something tells me that wouldn't be any 'great shakes'... Been too long since I touched on that area. :| ~D. V. "I think you're going to need a better Graphics Card." Devnull
  21. Banned because you think that those anvils came from me, as well as for trying to sentence me. Those anvils came from the Vogon Homeworld. :shame: <*Senses an anvil incoming and dodges it, as well as the next 11 anvils...*> ~Mr. D. V. "See what I mean? I'm having to dodge them as well!" Devnull
  22. Thanks for identifying it and posting back a heads-up on the matter. I appreciate it a lot!  ~Mr. D. V. "Tecmaster, you rock!" Devnull
  23. Suggestion for your Christmas forum avatar: Make the shirt red, and add some white fringe fluff, kind of like the hat you put on it. (Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that would make it rather extra-awesome.) =)

  24. <*Sees anvils hit and flatten Jaffy1, BlazeTMF, Armorare, and The_Grinch all at the same time...*> Banned for not seeing that coming, all four of you. :P ~Mr. D. V. "The Multi-SmackDown Specialist" Devnull
  25. While I'm not an active RS player any more, I think Jagex should have held off until they had untimered cosmetic-only versions ready to make available. You should look at the RSOF to see what I mean. :| ~Mr. D. V. "Only handling one side of the matter wasn't enough." Devnull (p.s.: Tip.It Crewbies, you might want to post up both images -- Angelic & Demonic -- next time?)
