Investigating the Wise Old Man
I'm not sure I can do that, I used a graphing calculator. But I can try a line that intersects both points.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
My findings so far: If you draw a line from the Wizard's Tower to the Draynor Bank, the Wise Old Man's telescope lies directly on the line. The equation of this line is: y=-4.682x+97.896. If you continue the line toward the south east, the line intersects with the dead center of the Bandit Camp in the desert. I can't remember much about the Bandit Camp when I was a member, but aren't they Zaros followers? Anyway, imagine a line going from the Wizard's Tower, to the Draynor Bank, to the Wise Old Man's house. Now, imagine a line perpendicular to this line, which interects the Tower-Bank line at the Wise Old Man's house. The equation of this line is: y=.2136x-1.51. Continue this line in both directions and it intersect with the north-central portion of the Digsite (the Zaros altar?) and the Wizard's Guild in Yanile. So, the man is probably affiliated with Zaros somehow, and is part of some conspiracy against wizards. I think he'll attack the Wizard Guild after he hits the Tower. Take the two equations I showed above and rearrange them into standard form and you get this: x+.2136y=20.91 x-4.682y=7.07 The two bolded numbers are the solutions. Change them into Degree/Minute/Second form and you get this 20 degrees, 54 minutes 7 degrees, 4 minutes Now, this is where I need some additional help. I need another memeber to find these two locations: 1. 20 degrees 54 minutes N and 7 degrees 4 minutes E 2. 7 degrees 4 minutes N and 20 degrees 54 minutes E I believe one of these two coordinates will somewhat answer the mystery around the Wise Old Man. Thanks for your help again.

Anyone know egyption?
Here's what I got, if you interpret each glyph as a letter: 1st column: N G N (something that looks like H and S) Unknown letter N K 2nd column: Unknown letter Backwards Q Q A R 3rd column: 2 Unknown letters N M F Unknown letter Interpret what you want, but Jagex modified several letters. I've read many hieroglyphic writings in my days.

Investigating the Wise Old Man
Important Rule Change: If you haven't read the entire thread, do NOT post! Find out WHERE WE ARE in terms of theories and new information BEFORE YOU HUMILIATE YOURSELF! This is the current theory we are working on: The Great Big God Conspiracy Idea WOM is gathering knowledge and supplies to trigger a second God War, create a huge army, win the war, and become a God himself. What we know that supports this: WOM can wield more magical power than any other human can. WOM belongs to a Council of Saradominists, details about it unknown. WOM apparently has a small band of loyal devotees, almost like a cult. WOM appears to be making a power-grab within the Council. A second god war, which WE KNOW IS COMING, will give WOM an opportunity to prove himself to Saradomin. By exploiting the powers of summoning/necromancy, WOM and those who side with him will be unbeatable in the God War. By winning the war for Saradomin, WOM may be "appointed" to godhood in the same manner that Zamorak was. Info on God War II Mahjarrat are still trying to return Zamorak from exile (Mourners from West Ardougne are attempting to summon him, and various mahjarrat are on the move to an unspecified locale to break Zamorak's exile [locale is most likely somewhere in the wilderness]). Zaros may be beginning to manifest himself. Armadyl and Zaros may be one in the same, just two parts of a bipolar god. The WOM Chart! Check out the WOM Chart! It's triangular! We need information from the people in this chart! If you can get information regarding WOM from these people, and it isn't an inconvenience or anything, then please DO SO! These people are WANTED! Dead or alive! Preferrably ALIVE! Our meetings site is the Water Rune Altar in the Lumbridge swamp. The world that the meetings should be held in is still to be decided. We tried World 7 for a little while but it was extremely laggy and sometimes full. We tried World 106 once, and it seemed to be fine. 106 it is, I suppose. Watch the thread for extra info on the meetings (change of world/location/time/date) and lots of other fun nonsense. What you will need for meetings: Water talisman or water tiara to get into the altar (duh), and open mind, input, and lots of money to give to me. Rules are simple: Be nice, offer lots of good insights about the WOM, and uh...oh yeah, give me lots of money. :P Oh, and be prepared to get random events at very very coincidental times (people who were present at the March 3 meeting should know  ) These are our siggies: Put 'em in your sig! I found the biggest level 103 member noob
Besides, I don't think that your combat level on Runescape is a reflection of your intelligence...

matter appearing out of nowhere
If that were true, the anvils would disintegrate every 5 minutes...according to the Law of Conservation of Matter, matter cannot be destroyed or created. Runescape just defies physics. Leave it at that.

Runescape Reformation
Then nobody would vote for them because they have a bad reputation or are noobs.

They could ask for information from your driver's liscense. Or is that illegal?

Runescape Reformation
I'm an optimist, so look at it this way: The community members who are too stupid to master a computer game where all you have to do is click your mouse are obviously too stupid to vote in an election. Yay democracy!

Runescape Reformation
I guess because I'm a little bored at the moment, I feel I should share some recent ideas I've had about how to make Runescape better! Hope you like 'em! -Governing Councils: I was playing a text-based RPG awhile ago, and it contained an interesting little feature: Players could be elected to an office in a city. This would be a nifty thing to have in Runescape, in my opinion. Players extend their influences and build a good reputation in a particular city, an election occurs every so often (maybe one to two months) and the player can now make important decisions for that city! Jagex can include features for governing people that parallel the politics of the High Middle Ages, which the game appears to be based on. Could be a learning experience, too. -Bring back RSC PKing: I'm tired of the boredom of walking all over Runescape with nothing to occupy my thought except for mindless clicking where I want to go. The PKing that was in RSC would be a good addition to eliminate this boredom. Runescape is an "adventure" game, and mindless clicking is nowhere near "adventurous". Having to watch out for other travellers who may be lying in wait to pounce on you, now THAT'S exciting! Of course, there would be limits. For instance, gang-PKing wouldn't be allowed (no multi-way areas in the non-Wilderness), and there could also be PKing in cities, but there would be dire consequences for those that do so! -"Learning" skills: This was also in the text-based RPG: Players could 'learn' skills from other higher-level players, who would 'teach' these skills. Instead of just going around and training skills, players would be able to gain a little experience by being taught the skill instead. Some of the more complex skills, like magic, runecrafting, herblore, ranging, combat, and crafting, would require this learning feature, because they seem to be skills that you need to learn and not just simply train. There would also be limitation on how much you could learn, like you would have to be at a certain level in a skill before you could learn more about it. Also, players that 'teach' other players a skill would also get a small experience bonus for teaching. That's all I can think of...what do you think?

Use Bucket With Fire=== You Can't Cook This On a Fire!!!
How about we start this over: When you empty your bucket on a fire, the fire does what?

Bored? Try one of these...
Today, I played a game of "Communist Revolutionary" in Varrock Square. I stood there reciting phrases from The Communist Manifesto and quoting some of Lenin's speeches. I don't know if I had any effect; a few people called me crazy, one wanted 1k from me before he would join my "clan" that he thought I was trying to create. I'm surprised that nobody responded, some of the points I made about the evils of capitalism in the Runescape world were pretty good. Uh oh, I'm starting to become a Communist! I need to create the Communist Party of Runescape.
