I'd have to say that Durial, if not a legend, is legendary. What he did was incredible (but not the "incredible" of the nice, good, happy variety :wink: ) What he did will probably be remembered for as long as Runescape exists, but that doesn't make it good (and for continuity, let's assume for the moment that there is no grey area here; just good and bad). Scores of people will assume that the term "legend" automatically means that the person being called a legend is an overall good person - someone worthy of respect and high-standing, if you will. However, "legend" can also apply to the polar opposite. Ivan the Terrible is a legend. Hitler is too. So is Hurricane Katrina. I'm obviously not a legend. I was thinking, that although we all know exactly what took place with the World 111 Incident, as I'll call it, it will no doubt become like Durial: a legend. You have urban legends and tall tales, and I'm thinking that the incident will probably follow the same path as these. It will be cool to see what people believe about the incident in, oh, two or three years :P . I wonder if someone well informed can make this into a masterpiece for the Varrock Library :P .

Second, if everyone sold everthing of value at once, the only people who would buy them would be the merchanters. And since the merchanters always sell for profit, they will force the prices to go up.

Thought of this while I was whacking noobs with my rubber chicken :) Based on the USMC Creed "This Is My Rifle." This is my chicken. There are many like it, but this one is mine. I just like the contrast here. :) If your suspicion is justified, I would say it doesn't hurt to send in an abuse report. That goes for every rule. My 2 cents! You can't call the police and report somebody who "looks like they could be a murderer." The same way, you can't report somebody for macroing because they "look like a macroer." The only way to prove that somebody is macroing is by using a macro-detecting macro. Jagex's update has a new tool that already does this, so let them handle it.

For scams, if you see somebody say something that sounds a little suspicious, wait for further evidence. Most likely, the person will give you enough evidence to report if you wait long enough. For autotyping, don't report it under macroing. If you suspect an autotyper is being used, and the user is spamming the chat box, report it under offensive language. That way, even if the person isn't using an autotyper, they're still spamming, which is a reportable offense. As far as macroers go, leave them alone. It's impossible to really tell who's a macroer and who isn't, unless you know what you're doing. Sooner or later, Jagex's detectors will find the macroers and ban them.

Levels/total playing time don't matter when Jagex selects mods. All they look for are players with reputations as honest people who report those who do wrong. It isn't a secret.
