  1. On a Tech Board I post on, alot of users began making unconventional signatures without fancy brushes or renders. They started making "tag's" or what some refer to as a "brag card". I went ahead and made mine, lmk what you think. I wanna see what some other ppl got runnin on this forum, or are they all $300 Dell Desktops :? C4
  2. I really like the incorporation of the pallete, very cool
  3. Christianity may be a majority, but its yet to hold a stronger basis and weight to everyone than all religions. If one may be Christian then that religion is faverable to them, it doesnt stand to say that when a major religion asks for something, they should get it discarding all needs (generally smaller) of the other beliefs. On to point: To generalize the matter, why should one religion get special consideration while others may have to deal with other forms of religous offensive material. A shortcoming of the phrase "oh my god" has always been seen as offensive in textual language as well as spoken, but it was never outlawed to speak it; would make the matter parital to the Christian religion. We all have to deal with facts of life every day that make life more difficult; which is what makes life interesting. If a religous matter/trouble has got you feeling blue you dont turn to the president/ruler/person of govern in your country to stop, what you believe to be, a religous outrage. So why should a company, one that is so impartial to religion that it made its own, have to tend to the need of one because it feels offended. Sorry, but I feel offended when players remark that I shouldnt say oh-my-god/gosh, does it make it right to have them punished?
  4. Looks to me like a few brush sets, with "full brushes" not sparse abstracts crossed over a few layers in black over a white BG. Then inverted, and used on a top layer, colors with a 80% flow Brush then dropped opacity a few notches, and set the mode to overlay or softlight. C4
  5. Some of the artists posted complete crap because you were suppose to try something new and possibly something that your not used to making. In this case, most did Photoshop renders rather than the pixel work they were good at. C4
  6. With 512 you might be ok running BF2, but you might want to buy up to a gig (preferably 512mb X 2). As for a GPU card, Id suggest a GeForce 6800GT, its a moderate card and can run battlefield 2 as well as HalfLife2 and CsSource. Good Luck
  7. If you still have the image in a .PSD goto the text layer for the "Proud to Be" text and make sure you set the Text to SHARP in your TEXT TOOL's at the top of your screen. Also make sure you dont have any blur's accidently run over it or have a OUTER GLOW because those can fade the text into the background and make it fuzzy and making the sig end up sloppy. Hope that works for ya. C4
  8. If you didnt make it, dont use it unless you have written consent from the artist to do so, and when given consent, give credit where due so that you are not flamed later on by it. Sigs are ok, looks like basic PS filter effects with some heightened contrast and Crtl + U adjustments made (HUE/SAT). Sigs are alright. C4

    Avatar.

Sah-weet Venomai, like the minimal style as well as the begin-to-closure effect. And its only 1.3KB, pretty good for its detail and effect with its size. Hope to see more work soon. C4
  10. Nice job on it, I like the whole basic-ness of it. I understand why you have to put sample, but it hinders some of it and takes away from its innovation. Anyway, Im feeling it, and you should stick to the theme of it, even though Im against pixeling. I like the minimal styles ;) C4
  11. Right-on! Some practice for vectoring, I LOVE IT! Might take me a bit, but Im gonna try mah best! EDIT: Lost most of my previous vector presets I set a while ago, must have lost them in the upgrade to CS2. Will be looking for them, as of now I am going to postpone work on this challenge. C4
  12. Metallic and Chrome Brushing are done by filter combo's and gradients, rather than the brushes themselves. Brushes can be downloaded anywhere on the internet. AS well, there is not very many downloadable filter effects to add to Photoshop unless you tend to install Plug-Ins such as EyeCandy; which will give you numerous textures and effects for signatures and work from scratch. If you need techniques on making Metallic and Chrome effects try googling it, google is your best source in finding that one tutorial you need. Try googling brush sets as well, I know that there is millions out there so the availiblility of brushes isn't low (remember not to download brush sets that {1} arent in zip/rar files {2} that are not .ABR extentions) C4
  13. As I thought, most of you guys at this forum are plain dull and simple minded. I wasnt saying that I have a problem with the Thumbnails themselves, I have a problem with people that just copy and paste the given url to a thumbnail...such as... This image does not have a link, it has the text of the link... And you guys call me idiotic, now i swear, this is annoying!!! No im not pised at the thumbnails its the fact that people dont correctly link them. C4
  14. How about you all stop spammin on my perception and how i work online and look at this... Now that is just copied and pasted with no apparent regard to the visual...and you all call me "lazy" and post "idiotic things" Go read your posts nubs, I hope this isnt how you treat others, cuz dam, your parents have failed horribly
  15. downloading at the moment, and for the record, the file download as a .avi extention for those who were still skeptical. *EDIT* - Interesting at that, and a bit fuzy at the text screens, however the story line has me interested and I hope to be seeing the sequel soon. C4
  16. www.voidix.com very innovative design as well as a very clean and simple to use information delivering technique C4
  17. Possibly it isn't Photoshops problem; ive heard of this happening when the computers capture settings are accidently changed. Try downloading a small program called "Howie's Quick Screen Capture". (Best bet by googling). Take a capture and import it into Photoshop. If the colors are still messed, make sure you check to make sure you dont have any extra color layers added by default under channels in the 'Layer Window'. Like Komodo recomended, if it still is messing up you may have to re-install. Also might try opening the picture in MS Paint (or a Mac equivalent if thats what system you run). If the picture is still messed up it could be an Operating System problem or a graphics driver problem. Make sure you have your most recent graphics drivers if you are using an accelerator card (ie: GeForce, ATI Radeon). C4 -(Good luck mate)
  18. Numerous times have I tried to view pictures ppl post and end up looking at a shunk version in thumbnail form, and with the URL to imgshack next to it in text rather than in link form... How hard is it to just copy the url to the picture than copy imageshacks site with spaces between the tags...it doesnt take a genious to read stickies about how to post an image and then its not hard to realize there shouldnt be spaces between the context and tags.... People these days, if your smart enough to make an image, you should be smart enough to be able to move your mouse and find out how to post simple images. C4
  19. dont post as HTML, HTML code is disabled type tag.
  20. You said original artwork only, saying no renders or google, etc, but i create my own renders, can that be consider'd my own artwork?
  21. Personally living in Seattle, and having seen Mt. St. Helens numerous times, your render is quite acurate; many of these fools cant speak for that. You may want to work on the texturing of the mountain itself, as St. Helens isn't that green at almost any time of the year. If you want to get recent on it, try putting a vast growing dome in the center  It may not be an exact duplicate but your safe to give it the title Mt. St. Helens as it resembles it quite well for a terragen render. Never thought id compliment you...but good work on it 8)
  22. If you plan to go with that torn and worn background style behind your text, youll need to work your text in with it. Duplicate the text layer setting the bottom to overlay, and the top layer, drop to opacity to 80 percent or what keeps the text visible but will show with the crosshatching of the torn parchment. C4
  23. Dear God, please dont make me start again. Ive gone into depth recently that not all abstract artists are filter whoring cloud rendering nubs. I refrain to post my renders again due to the lack of time. And dont generalize that you have never seen any good artwork here other than pixel artwork because that is a slap in the face to me; who I might add has actually purhcased Photoshop CS2 and has had experience with Photoshop since v6. Edit your post before I keep flaming because I most definately will.
  24. .::*I GIVEN WRITTEN CONSENT FOR ANYONE TO USE/CUT/DUPLICATE MY ARTWORK BELOW*::. Wow Nadril, you must think im just another picture stealing, brush slapping, trendwhoring, PS noob huh? Because based on the "feel" of your post, you obivously think I have nothing to back my statements up with? Lets start with.... [::Boundless Dreams::] [::Rise to Eminence::] [::Luxury is a Sin::] Just to let you know "Nadril", most people have a right to their own opinion...sorry if you dont like it. But Pixel artwork is a little bit too main stream and if you would have taken partial time to read the replys throughly you might have caught that I do make my own renders, I do use my own work, and NO I DO NOT STEAL PICTURES. Real artwork takes a precision to detail, and a creative mind with the ability to express itself. I would quote my previous post but I feel I should rephrase it..."there is an exception to some pixel artists that actually do show creativity, but the majority of them are cookie cutter copycats of those who have shown inspiration and creativity". Please try not to use stereotypes Nadril, it tends to make you look bad when proven wrong. C4
