  1. Both of them are crap. Nokia 6500 Slide seems to match what you wanted. http://www.nokia.com.au/link?cid=PLAIN_TEXT_361597 129$ http://www.shopbot.com.au/p-57899.html
  2. Actually, TIF's installation of phpBB3 has only one visible mod I can think of, which is nothing compared to the 5 or so mods we had on phpBB2. And the mod we do have is a simple one that is easily upgradeable. phpBB3 replaced a lot of the mods we have. Oh wait, we have some manually-created custom BBcode, but that isn't so much.
  3. So, after extensive calculations, I figured that if we have a rank contest every 3 months, and the last time we had one was in August, then the next one should have actually started already, as the previous one was on the 1st of August. So will there be one? And if we do have one, what should it be?
  4. Yes that sounds about right.
  5. Start -> Right click on Computer -> Properties -> Look under System -> There's your experience rating.
  6. Yes, now I can has APNGs as avvy. Actually not. You'd have to raise the limit to like 100Kb for that. Anyway, thanks!
  7. Sure you could turn it off, but keep in mind this whole thing would have to nearly be coded from scratch as there don't seem to be any spellchecker mods for phpBB3. And I don't think the Crew or any of TIF's other coders would have time for that.

Now that conspiracy I would support. Freaking capitalists.
  9. Personally, I'm not one for user-friendlyness. If it has a basic GUI, I'm happy. And then there's still that with Puppy taking 1/4 of the availible ram (I've maxed out the amount of ram can't add any.) And if you got DeLi to run on a 486, it will run on this for sure. BTW disk space usage is not a problem at all.
  10. It LAMPs surprisingly well. And the battery life isn't that bad either. I suppose there's nothing to use the power up. Edit: Oh yeah, and being Debian based is a plus.
  11. So I've got this old laptop that I'd like to put to use. Ubuntu runs quite slow on it, (You'll find out why in a bit) and I'm thinking it would be better to get something a bit smaller on it. This is what you have to work with: 336 mhz Intel PII 256 MB RAM 40 GB HDD CD reader, with its... Quirks. Yeah, I know. I'm surprised it runs at all, it's turning 11 next year  But it can be a quite capable web browser. Some of the distros I'm considering: Puppy Linux (The problem is that I would always lose 64 MB of ram because it loads the OS onto the ram) DSL (Don't know much about that one) Any suggestions?
  12. Exactly. PHP would be perfect for this. I suppose you could test for PHP by uploading a page to your server with this as the contents: <?php echo"PHP is installed" ?> Save it as test.php on your server and open it with a web browser, if it is installed it will say so.
  13. I was just going to say something about an SQL table like that slowing down the server a lot, but then I remembered that we have 160,000 registered users, around the same amount of words as are in common use in the English language (If that) that would be necessary. I haven't really looked at it, I'll see if there's a mod although I doubt it.
  14. ^ Its overuse will stop. And I found that pack while browsing the phpBB styling forums a few days ago: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... t=1197695' It wasn't everything I thought it was, but it replaces quite a few of the phpBB2 ones.
  15. I don't play anymore, but when I did it was the last thing I would tell you unless physically forced. Maybe it's better that I don't play.
