Each regular member has their things about this thread that they don't like. For me it is when Pie spams. For Halo, it is when I post ponies. For Napalm, it is cat pics/gifs hour. But regardless, we all stick around and put up with each other. We can manage. Evidently not. I'm not going to give names because that would be a breach of confidentiality guidelines. Asking a mod to break his own terms of agreement for being a mod isn't a rhetorical question, either.

If you want to know the truth why we're here specifically, we have been receiving comments regarding this thread. Part of our job is to minimise the harmful effects of rule-breaking, as well as dealing with the sources of that harm. Nobody want to see people getting irritated at each other, otherwise it simply ruins the atmosphere of the thread and the forums at large. What has been happening here has been causing more harm than you think, we have the rules to try to minimise it. We really don't want to get in your way, but deal is that everyone needs to make sure we aren't forced into doing so for the sake of the forums.

The majority of posts I got rid of were nested quotes with no comments, made by repeatedly replying to your own post, without even adding anything. The rest were annoying posting styles and trolling. Again, please don't do it.

I've been trying to clean this place up, as you guys have noticed. Time and time again, we've had to deal with spamming and other rule breaking in this thread, and we have to reiterate that this kind of behaviour is not acceptable, even in forum games. Oh, I see. By now, I've become pretty adept at trapping the meleers, and the rapier dispatches those rangers in 2 or 3 hits most of the time, so the damage I receive is pretty small. I wouldn't use it otherwise without a rapier. Those pre-Jad waves aren't a problem for me, and I've always had plenty of food left over, so I use it to get those waves over in the fastest way I can. Ah, that's very interesting, I forgot about soaking. Hmm. I'll give it some thought. I'd still like to try SoA with Void Mage first though, if only to test a theory.

Eh, I know I'd be fine if I didn't have to multi-task on Jad, after all my first fire cape was just me standing there and prayer switching back when the deflection trick worked, and that was a long time. Defence doesn't come into the equation if I can just focus on prayers.

Hmm, so far I've been rapiering everything, with a chaotic crossbow as a backup and for jad. I very rarely get melee'd by the Ket-Zeks, none of the first 62 waves really pose a problem. I'm going to try luring those healers behind Italy Rock and dispatching them separately before I get into more drastic and expensive methods like SoA. And even SoA isn't guaranteed. It does make for a fast cave attempt, which is nice. Well, wearing Gano and maging is a brilliant and fast. Whilst you say SoA is drastically expensive I do agree, but doing something like Frosts you get your money back almost instantly. Earlier on today I lent Draz a bit of my gear (inc ABS and 999 Arma runes - only had 1k in bank and I liked where they were sat in there ;) ). Think he said it took him like 500 casts to do the 360's -> Jad. Personally took me 550, but I failed on Jad as he kept getting lucky with constant mage hits and then when I switched prayers he GF'd me with a 769. If you wanted to borrow ABS you're more than welcome Will :) Hrm. Let's say that I take up your offer regarding the ABS (thanks, by the way ), wore Void Mage (with barrows gloves and deflector), arcane steam, used Mystic Might (Augury would be too much of a drain, I think), and a Vecna Skull, could I simply outpower the healing capacities of the Yt-HurKots? I'd just use rapier and crossbow for the rest of the waves, because that works well for me. And the prospect of tribriding sounds fun.

I've been tempted a few times now, but it's not worth it. I use my fire cape for Slayer tasks, amongst other things. I will keep fighting the good fight tomorrow. Sounded like a huge "Death of a thousand cuts" strategy the way the technique implies. Yeah, basically. You had to hold off against him for a long time, but you didn't get the healers. Alright, I'm going to try again.

Well, it doesn't help that the new magic attack animation now also involves Jad moving on to his hind legs, which was something that I reacted pretty poorly to. The old 'just use deflection prayers and don't attack Jad, and the healers won't spawn' tactic doesn't work, because the healers spawn when he's at half health no matter what the cause. That might not be a recent change though. As for the ranged attack, the slamming movement is faster than before, but it's more noticeable and far easier to react to, so I'd recommend protecting magic by default.

Bah died twice to jad. Oh well, I might try again tomorrow.
