Dreams - post/share
Dream interpretation makes sense so long as you approach it with the theory that dreams are from the subconcious and are generated from your inner thoughts, fears, memories, and mental state. Otherwise, either they wouldn't make any sense or they wouldn't exist. From that, it follows that whatever is in the dream will have something in common with whatever feeling or memory generated it, so interpretation or reverse-engineering is possible, if imperfect. Wow, dreams are really interesting when you think about it.

This sounds reasonable. To be honest, dreams really do work like this. Whenever I have a really thought provoking dream, I always ask my friend what he thinks about it. For the most part, dreams have a simple meaning, and deep down, they are usually always right. It sounds reasonable to me too. My life so far never has been all too adventurous, and I've always wanted to do something that really was. I'm worried that it's indicating that I'm afraid of failing though, I'll keep it in mind. These things always seem to become clearer and simpler when you write it down, so this thread has done me a service, so thanks.

Dreams - post/share
I have a recurring dream that I don't think has ever changed since the first time I got it about 4 years ago. I've had it about 6 times: It's a hot summer's day, blue skies with the odd cloud, and I'm outside my/my parent's house in the front garden. I live at the top of a cul-de-sac, where every house is a bungalow, and every detail about the road and the houses seems to match with reality. In the driveway of the house on the opposite side, however, the middle-aged lady who lives there is standing in a basket under a huge ~20 foot balloon which she is filling up with a gas canister. She beckons me over in a friendly manner, and after thinking about it for a moment, I wordlessly and excitedly cross the road get in the basket with her, and we're both wearing scarves and winter clothing. Although no words are said, I feel like I'm about to go on an adventure, or a fantastic trip into the sky. I watch in wonder as the balloon gets bigger and bigger, getting to around 30 ft in diameter, and the basket lifts off the ground for a second. We're sort of hopping up and down, trying (and failing) to take off, and the wind carries us down the road, still hopping to a height of about 10 feet. The cul-de-sac leads on to a very busy main road, which is again exactly how it is in reality, and we're dragged along the pavement at the side, brushing with the trees, and eventually drift onto the road, which is full of cars going at quite a speed, but we're so determined to take off that we're not scared at all. About two more unsuccessful hops later, a truck collides at top speed with the basket and I wake up. The thing is, in reality, this lady died about 6 years ago when she was crossing the road and hit by a speeding car onto a roundabout several roads down from the main road. I barely knew her, only her name and what she looked like. She wasn't outgoing or adventurous either, just lived a quiet life with her husband. I didn't see the accident, I was only told about it second-hand. If I could comment on my own dream, I'd say it was my mind basing the dream around what I heard regarding that car accident, but I have no idea where the whole balloon/adventure/failing to take off thing comes from. The last time I had this dream was 4 days ago, and I don't even regularly live at my parent's house any more.

Uh huh, pretty much. I'll put out some pictures of my Minecraft world for a bit of variety, and some RuneScape stuff later on today. Stay tuned. EDIT: http://imgur.com/a/YIJcB By the way, it's all legitimate on Hardcore mode, and I use the Better than Wolves mod, hence the windmill. DOOBLEDIT: Actually, scrap the Runescape stuff for today, I didn't do anything interesting, sorry. I'm perched at Darkmeyer for some Bonus XP weekending tomorrow. I'll have pics for that.

Yup, haha. To be fair, the few girls that do do engineering In my experience have tended to be be really intelligent and nice people, so there's a plus. Ugh, I've got a sore throat, I think I'm due my bout of tonsillitis I get every two years.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging
Well SOMEBODY sure does go right to the point. Not those toys. :wall: Talking about things like blow torches + popsicles and steak (Punisher, 2004) and other devices. What am I, a nightmare fetishist? Well, there's a sentence you don't see every day.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging
Brb kicking Ambler from life not rly <3: We could torture Ambler and let the rest enjoy the spectacle with popcorn (Ambler included because we're nice). Popcorn? Bah. I'll get the cheese and biscuits.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging

I think the player-owned house should be that transport hub. We've already got portals, add in a fairy ring to a garden, provide more spots to mount teleport jewellery to various walls, grow a spirit tree in the centre of a formal garden. I don't mind having these things, but I want to get the feeling that I earned them. And where are you going to get a charter ship? Good point. All I want to do is be able to build whatever the hub turns out to be instead of having it given to me. You unlock these networks bit by bit by doing various quests and raising certain skills, so it would make sense that you would have to do a spot of construction to link them together.- 13-Mar-2012 - Loyalty Additions and Lodestone Network

No they don't. They got rid of that limit ages ago. That said, it would actually be fairly balanced if they did bring that back.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging
Grats. Here's something that you guys might appreciate, although I think it's UK only. It's the radio station that I listen to when I'm working, and it seems to cure headaches: Chill. EDIT: Hi, Google.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging
It was all Will. Will breaks everything. Got some uni work to do, so no RS tonight. It's a 3000 word scientific magazine article about the state of energy management in the UK. I can do this.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging

In other news, I was given an old not-functioning laptop by my dad a few months ago for free, with the promise that if I can fix it, I can have it. He got it from one of his customers under the same terms. I managed to fix it up, so I'm going to try out the Windows 8 Consumer Preview on it. It's really nice how you don't need to rip it onto a DVD, unlike previous versions. EDIT: And it broke a second after I just posted this.- Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging

I'm actually genuinely intrigued by it. Positive comments about the game are rare these days. Everyone's too damn cynical and paranoid these days. That's the basis of my article. Got about 700 words, adding more would be overkill, I think my point's been made. Also, my earliest stat pic I could find: [Hide=2007 Stat pic, when I sucked] [/hide] I look forward to reading it.- Ethics and Morality
If the laws were purely in the interest of protecting the child, which is a legitimate problem that must be avoided, then they'd only apply to couples who can produce offspring. What if the relationship was homosexual? I'd say the social stigma doesn't get any more positive. (I can't believe I'm bringing homosexuality into a debate about incest.) - Will's Cabinet of Fine Blogging
