Minecraft General
Here's the family photo of our local 3-man-and-a-golem team, consisting me and my two housemates (and a golem). We play "co-operative hardcore multiplayer": Vanilla on Hard mode, we always join and leave the server at the same time, on computers next to each other, and if one of us dies, the server is wiped. [hide][/hide] We've never managed to get all the way to the End without one death, but this is the first world in about 6 months where we've managed to get both full diamond and all of the useful potions. Tomorrow, we go on a quest for a stronghold.

I got Curled Horns! The items kept on death say 100M, which is a really bad estimate. It's aesthetic, untradable, only fairly uncommon, and doesn't even look that great. I'd be willing to sell it for 200k if I could. In other news, I'm Dungeoneering again! Our keyer had 120 Dungeoneering and was looking for a Primal Platebody. One of our team had to go do a couple of c1 rushes, and we did a 4 man-medium in the meantime, and yet we managed to get the Plate he wanted. Today has been a pretty good day, hopefully tomorrow will too with my exams.

The Pirate Bay must be blocked by UK ISPs, court rules
You underestimate how a government operates. The process of forming ideas to voting on them in parliament doesn't stay within the MPs for the entire journey, there are endless focus groups and studies done on these things, who are people who do understand these matters. The reason we will continue to be in this mess for a while is because fixing it is not cost-effective to the country. Many music labels and companies wield the power to move their services away from the country, and any bill that will possibly set them off on this course would risk a far greater dent in the economy than a relatively small number of court hearings. It's a smaller version of the bank bailout fiasco. Right now, the public understandably cares far more about the economy than copyright reform, and the opposition will very quickly (and rightly) accuse the government of risking a significant sector of the economy. My point is that although I don't like the current law and believe there is a change to be made that is right and fair, I can also understand why it hasn't been changed, and it won't at least until the economy clears up. It's not a failure of knowledge from the government, but an extended history of failures from the ignorant record companies. It's a complex and irritating situation for everyone.

Just did the new Sagas, and this; - 97 Strength ~ [hide] [/hide] happened. I nearly missed the screenshot when such a huge xp reward came out of the blue. Also, meta-humour. I appreciate that.

~ 73 Runecrafting ~ [hide] [/hide] Haha, I managed to use my levelling euphoria to trick my brain into escaping the Runespan, but damn is it addictive. I will return. EDIT: I also bought a Wicked Cape and Rank 6 Esteem on my way out. Those points weren't going to waste themselves.

03/05/12 - System Update - FPS Fix!
Bot nuke is a bit too soon. Price still havent settle and here we go another inflation. [/hide] Really loving this fix though. No more choppiness, everything's so smooth, yada yada. :) This update has been a complete joy to my computer, it's basically back to how I remember it before the bot nuke. Kudos to the graphics engine team and whoever else optimised the code so well.

The Pirate Bay must be blocked by UK ISPs, court rules
I think surely the caveat is that other sites could be used for the same purpose. Although you could easily use that argument to claim the ruling won't achieve anything substantial against piracy either. I was reading a copy of the Daily Mail the other day (might've been the Telegraph actually) which claimed two thirds of the British public want online porn banned, which gave me a slight chuckle to think that two thirds of the British public honestly think this can be achieved. Of course, same applies here. This is more symbolic than anything else. The state needs to be seen to be protecting copyright for businesses. On that basis I have no objections to it, but it won't achieve anything meaningful. But it's a complete waste of public money. At this point we have to break the cycle and start to accept that copyright can't extend to people sharing information free of charge simply because preventing it is unenforceable. The times of talking about the morality of piracy is long gone, now we have to deal with the consequences of it, like it or not.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...nology-17894176 I think this is getting silly. Whether you agree with piracy or not, this will literally do nothing. Piracy has become such a fact of life that we should be building a system around in order to work with it, instead of this futile fight against it. It's like ageing, it might be less profitable for businesses if their workers don't remain youthful springs of productivity all of their lives, or even live forever, but they incorperated it into their models and made the pension system, and that seems to work fine.

Behind the Scenes - May
Thought this was pretty interesting. [qfc]16-17-466-63710773[/qfc] This is probably the thing that has piqued my interest the most, Nomad is still my favorite boss fight and having a boss similar to him that's repeatable with new rewards excites me beyond belief. Overall this sounds like a pretty good month, good enough to get me playing consistently again. Well, technically there's always the Dominion tower if you want to fight him again... twice. :P This month looks pretty average, not bad, not fantastic, just okay. The Dragon Kiteshield has about a 98% chance of just being a bog standard shield that scales with the rest of the armour that is only really decorative. I'm glad they're finishing off the armour set at last, though, I like completeness.

Several Suggestions
I have a sneaking suspicion that 3. isn't possible for technical reasons, but I'm no programmer. 5. As Sy said, it's technically a boost separate from the stats, but there should be a way to display these boosts on the stats interface, perhaps in the form of a list. These suggestions always make more sense when you generalise them to similar items.

Armored Zombies
For melee training in general, you really want to be looking at getting Elite Void, and you'd do even better if you add a deflector and swap out the void gloves for RFD Gloves or Goliaths. Armoured Zombies are okay, but you'd do better if you go for Vyrelords. Not only is it faster, but you make a pretty decent profit and don't need a rapier to maximise your experience. For Vyrelords I recommend this: Blisterwood Polearm (500 corpses burnt) > Blisterwood Polearm (less than 500 corpses burnt, improves every 50 corpses) Elite Void Melee + Void Gloves > Proselyte + Goliaths + Neitiznot Helm > Proselyte + RFD Gloves + Neitiznot Helm Berserker Ring (i) > Berserker Ring > Warrior's Ring Fury > Glory Steadfast Boots > Dragon Boots Kiln Cape > Fire Cape > Ardougne Cape (3) > Soul Wars Cape I highly recommend getting those 500 corpses out of the way, and buy prayer potions/stat-boosting potions from the profit you make instead of using the altar.
