  1. Yeah, I think it looks better than before, but only slightly.
  2. I've moved this thread to a forum where you will be more likely to get a response. Best of luck with your clan hunt!
  3. New interface: You can't wear the pendant until you convert it.
  4. All in all, this looks like a good update. Adding the extra bind as well as the other changes should encourage people to diversify their loadouts, and most of the problems with ammo should be redundant once EoC comes around. I'll be curious how this changes the Dungeoneering meta-game, binds are a big deal and we might see the emergence of more "roles". If the most efficient methods start requiring team members to use a variety of setups, then the update is a success. EDIT: Argh, looks like the SoF interface was changed but I forgot to screenshot it. It's slightly less stupid now.
  5. I'm curious, how do you consider it lacking? Benghazi. Lead from behind. The rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. Seems like everyone loves to complain about how religion and politics shouldn't mix and that political candidates should basically act as atheists once elected. Well, guess what the Middle East is doing. That's what America is doing too. Religion and the various flavours of Christianity have become increasingly involved in American politics, although I'm not sure why that has come about. After all, I've heard a lot about Romney being a Mormon. That should be irrelevant to his ability to be the POTUS, but the fact remains it's a significant factor and talking point. There's an analogy about removing specks from other people's eyes while ignoring the log in your own eye that's probably relevant here. But yes, Obama needs to sort that out. This is the tragedy of the American electoral system: It's not that you have to be good to get re-elected, you just have to be better than one other party.
  6. Just to summarise, President Obama won the presidency, the Democrats seem to have won the Senate, but the Republicans seem to be set to retain the House of Representatives.
  7. MSNBC's projecting an Obama victory right now. Congratulations to him!
  8. That's what you get when you skimp out and use an ibex.
  9. Florida and Ohio seem to be edging towards Obama, it's becoming increasingly likely that he's won it. It's not a done deal yet, though, this is still a very close election.
  10. My first job was a Christmas shift in a shop that sold gifts and toys when I was 17, including those novelty "adult" ones. :P I've got quite a few stories I could tell from that place. Once, I was working at the tills, and I spotted a friend of mine who also worked there limping out of the office and slamming the door behind him. Turns out he'd accidentally knocked the fire extinguisher from its holder, which landed on his foot and somehow set it off, flooding room with all of the paperwork with foam. Thankfully the manager was a really cool guy and there wasn't any damage other than the emptied canister. I reckon he thought the embarrassment and foot injury was enough punishment.
  11. Hi, you'll need to upload that file address to a image sharing site first before we can see it. I personally use Imageshack, just click "Choose File", pick the image, click "upload now", then copy/paste the "forum code" here. I'm going to lock this thread for now and PM these instructions to you, you're free to make a new thread with the uploaded image so we can help you out. :)
  12. This may not apply to you, but if you've done Branches of Darkmeyer and have 500 burned Vyre Corpses under your belt, taking out Vyrelords with a Blisterwood Polearm is a quick and easy method.
  13. This is a fairly complex question, it depends on your current skills, your play-style, and your goals. There's a few wrong answers but no real right answer. Using lamps on Dungeoneering is often the best way to get past those low levels where the xp is abnormally slow, up until about level 60 when the rate starts to skyrocket relative to other skills. Also, of course, lamps on Dungeoneering give you no tokens, so it's more of a long-term investment for Chaotic equipment and/or if you just want to get into the crazy world of Dungeoneering. Prayer's okay (sorta) for lamps, but it's not the best use for them unless you're just edging to another level you really want or being really frugal. Same with Construction. Summoning's much better because it has the additional element of the untradable charms. Other slow skills I can think of would be Agility and Slayer.
  14. Randoms are gone! I thought I'd never see the day. I'll report back on my verdict of the Halloween event later.
  15. I don't see it as ethically wrong, but that doesn't stop it from being a poor decision from a game design standpoint. There's nothing wrong with bonus xp events, Hati and Skoll were examples of excellently planned ones. They should have made more events in that style instead. Bonus XP weekends limit gameplay for people during the time between the announcement and the actual weekend. For the runup period, I am severely discouraged financially from training the 8 "artisan" skills, the ones that turn resources into finished products, a big part of the game. While the bonus lasts, I am discouraged from doing anything else while I am logged in but train skills, with particular emphasis on ones I don't like. Restricting access to such a major part of the game, only accessible by coughing up a lot of gp, doesn't make it a better game.
  16. Ugh, really? Jagex, you stopped doing Bonus XP Weekends for a reason. Plenty of us argued about this on rational terms, eventually convinced you on the economic issues it causes, and that should have been the end of the matter. I am just so tired of this. I love the people this game has introduced me to and will continue to do so, but I have become so frustrated with Jagex.

  18. Even if someone else made an account with the same stats, it wouldn't have my name on it, or the social connections, or the personal friendships, responsibilities, or any of the other things associated with my RuneScape account that money or botting can't buy. Only by this account saying "Hi all" to my clan will get a resounding "Hi Will". Very little of the value of my account lies in its stats.
  19. Wow, I'm not sure. I wouldn't let it go for less than £1000, but I reckon I'd put it closer to several thousand. This account is a seriously important relic of my childhood. I'm not going to think about it any more, because, like Kimberly, this will quickly get depressing.
  20. Will do. I think I'm going to use a dart on Har-Aken. I guess I'll take a gamble and get some Corp kills with the rest.
  21. Even if it was fun, 120 still represents an extraordinary amount of grinding. I think Dungeoneering is actually a really fun skill, but it's still a really difficult stat to achieve, even with the super-fast XP gains at the end. You still don't see that many people walking around with True Dungeoneering Skillcapes and it's not even included with the Max Cape. Overall, it's just a bad direction in which to take the game.
  22. Wheres this story come from? To me it sounds like the kind of thing that a rare merchant would say. For now, I don't buy it.
