  1. Pro teams are a pretty big commitment for everyone involved, remember that they're choosing to dungeoneer with you instead of anyone else, so you need to know what you're doing already. They're brilliant if you can get one, but you have to earn it through experience, skill and social contacts. Best place to start is with clans. First place to look would be a dedicated dungeoneering clan. They vary a bit, some prefer high-efficiency Dungeoneering (DGS comes to mind) and others go for a more relaxed approach (Chilled DG comes to mind), so try looking around to find one to suit your play style. Make sure you're open to learning good techniques, pathing, and the abbreviations, which most dungeoneering clans will teach you. Alternatively, try looking for a more general skilling clan, which will almost always have a Dungeoneering division. Often, that division is small enough that it's virtually equivalent to a permanent team.

Stalling fails you? That's a little bit harsh. For me it was just considered a minor fault (accumulating 15 or more fails you).
  3. Seems like it's resolved now, try logging in again now. :)

Congratulations! Since you have 74 Construction, you can easily boost (tea, crystal saw etc.) to get hold of a gilded altar if you don't have one already, which allows faster and more convenient training than using someone else's. I personally use regular dragon bones as a good balance between speed and value. Use a stack of house teletabs to teleport there, and use the Tokkul-Zo to teleport back to a bank. Use a War Tortoise and pick up 2 marrentill each trip, then fill with bones. All of the TokKul-Zo teleport options send you right next to a bank except the Plaza (option 1), but I tend to use the Fight Cave (option 3) by habit because there's also a fairy ring there. To save money, use the Wisdom aura and use recharge gems on any Pendants of Prayer you have lying around (10 per recharge, small gems for regular pendants, large gems for prized ones).
  6. Getting a proper job by the end of the year is my resolution.
  7. Congratulations! However, Help & Advice is all about people making threads which ask questions and other people giving answers in response, as outlined here and here, stickied at the top of this forum. As there's no question being asked, I'm going to lock this thread. Feel free to reply to the questions of other people if you reckon your expertise can come in handy! - Will H
  8. Thanks! I wasn't really sure if it would be worth it at my levels but are there any quests I should do for slayer? I've already done Smoking Kills and the first thing I get is gonna be the ability to craft slayer helms None really comes to mind. Smoking Kills is the Slayer quest, it's all you really need. And yes, get a Slayer Helmet as soon as you can.
  9. Help and Advice is more of a question/answer forum, according to the description "Whether you need help or are offering help, all questions belong here." The place you want to be is here, the POP thread on General Discussion. I'll lock this for now, happy posting! - Will H

Haha, I had to get one yesterday for the same reason. One year I'll try planning ahead and getting a haircut in late October so my hair is long but not unacceptable. I really dislike my hair in general, it's dark brown, straight, thin, slightly receding and completely boring, and I have no idea what to do with it.
  11. Nah, full year packages with perks is pretty much standard operating procedure for subscription games nowadays. It incentivises people to continue playing in the long term, and the sneaky way Jagex made practically all of the perks virtual (Solomon's store etc.) means that it barely costs them to get valuable long-term loyalty from players. It's actually basic business sense, though I wish they didn't call them "Premier Club packages" and just called them "Membership packages" instead, because that's what they are.
  12. I know what a subreddit is and I know there are many that would make most seasoned internet users shudder. I'm also well familiar with the system they use to censor dissenting opinions. That's why Tip.It is vastly superior to r/runescape or r/gaming for any logical discussion that includes differing opinions. Don't agree with their hivemind? le downboats xD. Don't agree here? You have the opportunity to defend yourself without your posts being instantly buried. I apologise, I wasn't trying to direct it at you (though I failed), I'm trying to give people a background of what Reddit is to people in general, because the way it works is unusual. Also, I'm a little bit fond of it. All I'm saying (to you this time) is that there are good and bad things about the site, and the system has advantages, though I can't see them applying to Tip.It. Okay, let's head back on topic. I think the most interesting thing is this one, regarding the use of pocket slots in the second new skill. These skills have to link to the rest of the game somehow.
  13. I wouldn't dismiss Reddit, although it is pretty intolerable if you don't have an account and keep to the default settings. There are some small communities on there that are pretty great. Also, some Reddit lingo: 1. AMA = Ask Me Anything, a Question and Answer thread focused on a participating person or group of people. AMAA means "Ask Me Almost Anything". The titles traditionally start with "IAmA" or "IAm". Ignore the lack of spaces, it's like a tradition for AMAs. 2. Subreddit = The equivalent of a subforum on Reddit, of which there are thousands. All of them start with "/r/" and can vary wildly. Anybody can create a new subreddit if the name isn't taken up already. The most popular ones are viewable on the default page (as in, what you see if you don't have an account), but the larger ones are generally worse than the smaller ones. Exceptions include /r/askreddit, /r/IAmA, and /r/askscience. My favourites include /r/britishproblems and /r/SubredditDrama. 3. Upvote/downvote = Reddit uses a fairly unique system where all threads and comments can be voted on regarding on whether everyone else thinks the post is good or not, which then pushes the post upward or downwards on the page. "Upvoting" means clicking on the upwards arrow, and increasing the score by 1 and the post's visibility. "Downvoting" means clicking on the downwards arrow, reducing visibility and reducing the score by 1. Each user can vote once on each post, and a sufficiently downvoted post hides it from view (although you can still toggle to see them). 4. Karma = Your "score", the sum of all of the upvotes and downvotes of all of your posts. There's loads more, but I think those ones will get you by.
  14. I don't have a problem with it, and that title is a little bit misleading. This are just packages that include Runescape membership, there's nothing about the membership system itself that is changed by this.
  15. But that's the point. Being outrageous and noticed by everyone is how they operate, it gets them notoriety, supporters, donations and lawsuit money from free speech laws. To top it off, they're tax exempt in the US. They go on the principle of "no such thing as bad publicity", which holds true especially when you're already hated. For them, "too far" is the end goal. Ok, I'm going to avoid talking anymore about the WBC, it's probably best if we collectively shifted our focus back on topic. I don't like how the WBC has successfully managed to sway such a tragedy towards them (and Anonymous is not helping), let's try to focus more about a) the incident itself, b) the implications and c) what you guys think could be done about it.

Disregard consumer logic; acquire currency. I reckon that if you played it right there's a fair bit of money to be made selling clothes online, especially collectible stuff like that hat.
  17. Oh, so much for "wait a few days"... Well blaming mental health is basically the same thing as blaming guns, video games, etc. Except in this case, yes, I'd argue that mental health was the primary (not sole) cause of this. But that doesn't mean everyone should go blaming mental health and pour all of our resources into improving mental health. These things are not preventable. We can lower the frequency of such events, yes, but we cannot prevent them altogether. Regardless of how low the frequency becomes, they'll still happen. And when they do, people will continue to blame things beyond their control, even if the things they're blaming can't be improved upon any more. Like I said, it's easier to blame someone or something else than it is to accept the fact that something terrible can happen anywhere at any time for no reason. You can prevent a statistical amount of homocides by improving certain things, be it mental health or gun laws or so on. If we go out looking to change the world and start by saying we will only accept solutions with 100% prevention rates, we're not going to get anywhere. This one may or may not have been preventable, but it could have been made less likely, and it's that risk that both adults and children are subjected to that needs to be addressed. Our problem is that we're trying to talk about just this incident, when the issue really is that this happens far too often to be acceptable, and so far cost-effective methods that would make the risk more acceptable are not being employed because of political money and lobbying. A watertight solution is not on the table, so we need to move on to the next best thing. I say the most cost-effective thing for the US to do right now is to ban assault rifles.
  18. WBC mainly gets its funding by baiting people into physically attacking them then suing them. They're doing that precisely because it's abhorrent, not out of some kind of religious justification.
  19. It's more like that there's the chance of people using emotional arguments instead of logical ones. I'll put out there that I think that federal law in relation to guns in the US is far too lax and I don't approve of the 2nd Amendment, but I've always believed that before this shooting happened. I won't elaborate until a few more days has passed, though.
  20. I agree with this. Personally, I'd go for the maul next, then an offhand cls as a quick third chaotic as it only costs 100k tokens. They use different styles, so it's really good to have both eventually.
  21. Working all night due to my chronic procrastination. I really hate my brain sometimes.
  22. What if I outed myself as a female? Your move, D.V.
  23. Talking of no explanations... Lokie.
  24. The highest one you can, I guess? If you can do Duradel, he assigns similar tasks to Sumona but more of them. Really, I'd get to work on Smoking Kills, it's best to do that first and get the benefits of Slayer Points instead of holding it off and not getting the points you're entitled to. They really improve the experience of Slayer in general. Nothing kills your motivation like a bad task that you could have blocked. Consider it a decent investment.
