Alright, I'm going to do a second fire cape run, because I like having stuff unlocked, but I'm not going to throw away my only fire cape. Stay tuned!

I've been getting a couple of scam emails recently... but I can deal with them. At least they've actually worked out now that I play RuneScape, not World of Warcraft, haha.

Woah, guys, just found out something. The Tokkul-Zo Fight Caves, Pit, and Kiln teleports all send you straight in front of a banker, and it's free and unlimited. If I'm not mistaken, It would be more useful than using Rings of Dueling for Summoning and Runecrafting training.

Everyone is so kind to me here, thanks. Ezk, you should have forced me to start a blog ages ago. Finished off the Burthorpe tasks, for no reason other than completeness. Not really. Everyone knows I own this blog. YES MASTER. WHATEVER YOU SAY MASTER. BEEP BOOP

I've kept myself completely neutral about the Effigy fiasco. It's not that I disagree with the majority opinion, but I really haven't had that many effigies. It's not something that's affected me much because I haven't gotten to that point in my gameplay, so forgive me if I just keep silent about it. And I appreciate the compliments. You guys rule.

Did the newest quest last night, but it was far too late for me to make a blog post about it. The sound effects are beautiful, and the graphics equally so. I had a fun time trying to get through the whole battle without banking. My Enhanced Excalibur saved me so many times, and the whole thing was very well crafted. Congratulations, Jagex. [hide=Look! No food!] [/hide] Oh, and I got 86 Magic. Coming soon; penguins!

And then what? No-life Rs? QFT OMGKILNTOMMORROW@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Really? How do you know? I might go and get another fire cape to unlock the Kiln, because there's no way I'm sacrificing my existing one. Also, I've been pronouncing the 'H' in TzHaar all my life. All of the official videos say otherwise. Just great.

Citadels are fun, but they take up a lot of your time. I can't wait for the day when the quotas aren't so big and you can get a ton of xp in what you want. The cooking xp is really nice, for example. EDIT: So, a low-levelled new guy in our clan chat says he died to Hati while trying to do the Fremennik Trials. I'm in the area, so I head up and bless his grave. I ask him if he's got the gloves yet, and he says no. Before you know it, another guy from the clan has arrived and we went and killed Hati together, landing the new guy the Hati gear he couldn't have obtained on his own. Obviously, you can't go out and get the gloves without getting the boots to match, so we head off to Sköll. Unfortunately, that resulted in the new guy suffering another grisly death. One mention in the Clan Chat and about half the clan arrives to kill Sköll. 3 kills later, and he's got the boots, and we've all had a lot of fun. Jagex, Hati and Sköll are examples of how to do seasonal events right. More please.

Thanks for the offer, but I want to earn it. I've done everything without taking gifts so far, so I'd rather not start now. :) I used to be sitting down, minding my own business, then I got up and took a coffee table to the knee. Ow.

Huh, so it is. I want to get steadfast boots, personally, mostly because I despise the appearance of dragon boots.

Well, I got away from a bit and BAM 41 pages! How does this happen? Anyway, I don't think I'm the only person in Tip.It who has these mood swings when it comes to RuneScape. I've been playing plenty of other games recently, but I think I'm good to return to RS proper for a while. I completed Bastion (such a beautiful ending), and blasted away some SpaceChem puzzles, had some more 3 player Minecraft and Age of Empires II sessions. Just to give you more of an idea, our living room consists of a sofa along one wall, a coffee table supporting 3 computers in a row, and a TV on the far wall, visible above the row of monitors. In my opinion, playing a LAN game in this way is the best way to play Minecraft. As you may have noticed, I got 77 Smithing from the citadel a few days ago, and everything's progressing nicely. Let's do this. And the Staff Spam here gets my seal of approval.

Hood vs. Plate
No. Your hood is far more valuable defensively than a platebody, and you'll reduce your chances of dying far better by learning what monsters to prioritise, good positioning, and protection prayers to use instead of just tanking it out with a platebody. Worst comes to worst, you could unbind your blood necklace for a platebody (the so-called "platebeard" setup) instead, but I would try to avoid that route, simply because blood necklaces are fun, rare, and useful.

Black history month
The desire for a channel to focus around things that aren't like the stuff on other mainstream channels is admirable, but I don't see how the concept of 'the rest of TV is for white people' holds up. How does my skin colour make a difference whether TV programmes are my kind of thing or not? Surely black people are more or less equally interested in sports, documentaries, the news, and whatever is on the TV as everyone else. For the record, I've never seen BET, I don't think it's shown anywhere in the UK. I don't comprehend how you can approach the mission statement "TV Entertainment for black people" without making some racist assumptions or generalisations. What do they show? It's not about the rest of TV being for white people; but for the record, the rest of TV IS for white people. Everything is made with white people as the intended audience. BET serves the black community; bringing light to issues that are too far removed from white society to be of any interest to mainstream channels. I don't understand what the problem is; why do white people want 100% of TV to be for white people instead of 'just' 99%? [/hide] Please enlighten me how a TV programme can be made with white people as an intended audience, without making any racist assumptions or generalisations, because as far as I can see, that's logically impossible. This particular white person doesn't comprehend the concept of TV for white people, or TV for black people. It thinks that the 99% of TV is for everybody, regardless of skin colour, and any attempt at the 1% at being different from that is racially motivated. Also, does anyone have an example in particular of something so far removed from the so-called "white society" that we have no interest in hearing about it? Are you joking? You don't understand the concept of intended audiences? Then what's your problem with BET? It's logically impossible to you for it to be targeted at black people. I'm not joking. I understand how you can make programmes for people with different interests, or people who are of different ages (because they'll have different life experiences), or different social positions. People can be easily separated by the ability/desire to tackle certain mental challenges, or whether they like death metal or not, or whether they remember WW2. What I don't understand how you can ethically make programmes for people with different skin colours. It's impossible for BET to be targeted at black people while at the same time not making racial assumptions or generalisations. And since you asked, I think the concept of BET is fundamentally racist in its current form. That's my problem with it. Feel free to challenge my view.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but I honestly didn't mean to offend those who would want that. I'm not going to lie, I hate dinner parties, though it should be noted that such events are a reality in a trainee doctor's life. It's just I think there's many, more relevent ways to show you're interested in medicine. Oh, I'm not being sarcastic, I generally try to avoid that on forums. I enjoy dinner parties. All I'm saying is that I've realised that I'm the kind of person who like societies like that, so I've probably got a bias for it. EDIT: Your solution of "don't join it, but keep the letter" is very clever. I support it.

But is it not entertainment for black people too? That's the impression I got. Also, the idea of having institutions that only hire black people is another problem in this day and age. I refer you to the National Black Police Association (and its official site), which does not allow white people to become full members, as another example. Back in the 1980s, I could understand and praise organisations formed by black people and other people of minority groups that could not otherwise achieve what a white person of equivalent ability could do. However, that was 32 years ago, and these organisations need to change, much like how the rest of the world has. Having organisations only run by certain ethnic groups is the definition of racial segregation. Too many people can't seem to break away from the relics of the Civil Rights Movement, because they are too comfortable with the safety that they bring to minority groups. We should be embracing fairness, not patching over the cracks and hope that nobody notices.

I just realised that I'm exactly the kind of person who would want to wear the twee jackets and attend the dinner parties, so I'm probably projecting myself onto the OP's situation. Ignore my advice.

Well, that was dumb. Some guy made sure to build up lots of lootshare potential, so barely anybody else got any drops. It's a pity when an individual abuses the majority like that. In any case, thanks for hosting it, but I'm out.
