And since the only way to get tokens is by doing dungeons, here's a nice AoW guide on the principles of Dungeoneering quickly. It's an extensive subject, and an art to master, but in my opinion it's worth it.
  2. I have around 100 free spaces in my bank, One space isnt going to hurt. Although if I was lacking space I would use the pouch I'm sure. Bank sorting is something everyone does differently. Ive seen bank pictures where theres a spot for every potion 1 to 4. That makes less sense to me personally. But, unless you're heading into the Wilderness, there is no reason why you wouldn't keep your money on you. It's actually got little to do with bankspace and more to do with convenience. You'll never again say "Oh, hang on, I'll just head to a bank to get my money". I'll agree that bank sorting is something everyone does differently, but this one is a no-brainer.
  3. Omali's hit the nail on the head with this one. "Pro" in software terms simply means "paid for", which perfectly describes what members is. I really can't see how you can look deeper than that.
  4. After a quick dabbling in paint: I was aiming more for the aesthetically pleasing house instead of the most efficient one. Inspired by Varrock Castle, which has that hole in the middle with the terribly tall tropical tree.
  5. secateurs can't have to be weilded for farm effect and for killing tangleroot thinigies Clearly you would just have the effect permanently on if it was on your toolbelt. Can you even go back into the tanglefoot area after the quest? If you can't, then simply having the slot only unlocking once you've completed the quest would solve that problem. You can, no idea why you'd want too though. I think they might be a slayer task or sumat but like low level so you never actually get em unless u do quests quite low level. Just checked, you're right about being able to go in after the quest, but they're not slayer monsters and don't drop anything other than leaves. There's really no reason to go in after the quest. I don't really see the point in carrying it around in item form for such a silly purpose.

  7. Agreed. To me, it seems to be implying that the revolutionaries of the Middle East and North Africa aren't capable of independent thought, it has to originate from the 'free-thinking' Americans. As far as I can see, what's happening in the US is almost totally unrelated with the Arab Spring.
  8. I thought they already did compulsory email validation for new accounts ages ago. It's good to see that magic in slayer's getting some serious representation, here's hoping the rewards are good.
  9. But the speed of light in constant, It has been measured and cannt be changed. Well, Einstein's Theory of General Relativity says so. Rule one of the scientific process says that there is no such thing as absolute truth, just the best available hypothesis. Still, the, uh, 'constantness' of c has way more evidence behind it than the reliability of two experiments themselves or other bits of the Standard Model. We still haven't fully understood why mass occurs yet, so we were bound to come up with something that "wasn't quite right", the next step is to work out why.
  10. If you adjust for people who wouldn't vote for NY if Chicago wasn't there, London would still come a very close second. It's stated that Jagex won't necessarily pick the one with the most votes to host Runefest, so I'd think in that case they'd still pick London because it's way more convenient for them and still came close second. They'd consider going elsewhere if the results were significantly in favour a different location, which it isn't. This is all speculation, but I reckon that's the most likely thing that's going on. I over-analyse polls way too much.
  11. First thing I thought of was Lootshare. The interface needs more circles.
  12. It still makes far more sense to hold it in London, for the reasons Mercifull eloquently gave.
  13. I play because I've spent enough time on this game that, and I know this sounds weird but, I've grown somewhat attached to my character. There are many like it, but this one is mine. The experience points, the equipment, my clanmates, Tip.It, and my memories of how I've developed my character all bring be back to this game. I have friends here, even if none them were the people I knew originally.
  14. One line synopsis of upcoming Episode 11 (We've just seen Ep. 7) according to the pretty reliable Zap2It: [hide=Spoilers!] Title: Hearth's Warming Eve Synopsis: The six friends are in a play about the founding of Equestria for the Hearth's Warming Eve's holiday pageant. Air Date: December 17th, 2011 [/hide] Also, last episode was very good, and entirely within Rainbow Dash's character. Do watch it.

Sorry if I'm being a spoilsport, but why could that bill pass? Internet censorship obviously contradicts the first Amendment. My gut instinct is telling me that this is people getting riled up over nothing.
  16. I have to admit, this is definitely a bonus. Dicers have been some of the most annoying spammers I have ever seen.
  17. I would really appreciate it if someone from Jagex came along and elaborated their reasoning for the removal of f2p highscores, because a lot of people clearly aren't happy, both with the reasons and the action itself. Also, here's something that's bothering me; why are these details being announced ahead of time, outside a BTS? This doesn't normally happen, and I don't remember them announcing it like this last time there was a page overhaul. The only reason I can think of would be because they want our feedback before they do it. That's my little bit of optimism about this for now.
  18. I'm reminded of "Chutes and Ladders". They've made a huge climb to the near top, but then manage to get to the same slide that puts 'em back at square one every single time. :| Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here, this is not anywhere near as game-changing so as to nullify the good work with bots, dicing and RWTing that's been done recently. Yes, this is an extremely poor idea that should be scrapped straight away, but it's not on the same scale. Hyberbole is only going to make us look irrational to Jagex, which is giving them enough reason for them to ignore us.
  19. Poker is still gambling, and that was the argument Jagex presented. Whether it requires skill or not is irrelevant, and that wasn't the excuse they used. To be honest, I couldn't care less about the arguments Jagex presents. I don't think dicing should be a part of the game because all profitable parts of the game should require a certain amount of skill or perseverance. It's the exact same reason why I don't agree with bots.
  20. Duel Arena is more like poker than pure 'gambling'. Yes, there's luck at its core, but how you actually profit on average depends on personal skill. Dicing at a profit is simple and requires no skill, and thus devalues the game. I think that's the difference here.
  21. I really can't agree with the highscores being p2p. It would make far more sense if there was a 'minimum activity' limit for f2pers. Active F2Pers are needed to encourage people to become members, and are a large part of the community. It's like they occasionally forget why there is such a thing as the free game. Learn your own business model, Jagex.
  22. It's on for a few more hours, until 23.59GMT.
  23. That's true for teaching Dungeoneering, but there is a point where many people would be comfortable in their knowledge of the skill, at which point a stressful environment isn't necessary (so long as you're with similarly skilled people). This is the reason why I left DGS after level 99, not out of bad blood, but because I felt that I wasn't learning enough to justify the stress. I've found the community that's suited my needs now. Not cutting edge, just at a good balance. Also, Teamspeak/Skype makes everything better.
  24. Day 2 Update: Landed 101 Dungeoneering, I might just go for 120 Dungeoneering now, which would probably get me 99 Strength or close enough, killing two birds with one stone is a far more satisfying approach. This has definitely rekindled my interest in the game now I have an interesting goal again. Also, someone killed an Edimmu and got a blood necklace on a floor I was on. She didn't have 3 binds, but me and another guy did, and neither of us had 90 Slayer, so we were equally eligible. Was put down to a coin toss:
