  1. Money is not important Attitude to "Customer" is important. Jagex didnt even bother to ASK us - THE CUSTOMERS, whether we like their silly interface change. AND THEY NEVER DID: There have been many years of RS, and Jagex NEVER cared on whether it's clients liked their interface changes, or not. OF COURSE, JAGEX can disrespect ME AS A CUSTOMER. What can I do, after all????? QUIT RS?, Oh, my god, as if anybody cares. There are thousands of underage kids wishing to play RS, so a quitting adult person will definitely do no change. So, keep this in mind when you play cheap mmorpgs...
  2. I'm totally ok with exchange and balanced trade. a) Even though, when I wanna give some cash to a pretty noob chick, she has to wait for 15 mins every time. But thtat's godd too, for all these chicks are prob camwhs... B) Installing 3000 g limit for trade - I'm so sorry, but this seems like the end of Runescape... What I mean is that there are obviously no Finance or Economy specialists in RS team, and then it means that their (Jagex's) action will be sale to large software house, and slow death then...
  3. Well, I'm totally with you on Exchange and stuff.. However, what I hate is voluntary changes to interface. WHY? Can you explain me those silly changes of interface, other than some Monica-Billy issue??
  4. Ranting abut "attitude" will never get the money-makers to even sneeze. Are you that s....?
  5. Money is not important, if you can remember. Attitude and relation to customer - that's what is important. Jagex has been brutally neglecting, abusing and disrespecting it's customers. That is why I'm pissed off about Jagex as a CUSTOMER!
  6. Jagex have been changing the game for worse for too long. Nowadays we are not paying for the game we used to. So Jagex must decrease their price!! Now, for some humane talk: I totally understand and support game-economy related issues, such as balanced trade and exchange However, I'm extremely annoyed by January 15 update for the following reasons: It doesnt add any value for players (I'm sure it adds value to Jagex somehow) OMG, just checked a ratio of Jagex staff replying to members.. It's disguisting 3) I cannot help the noobs now. But it's good - fewer people play, fwer people at resource spots, so, Jagex, continue your stupid genocide....
  7. I think this is going to be beneficial. Scam-like deals would be eliminated, good deals will still be prospering, and it willbe so much easier to sell or buy, like in 22 auctions
  8. When this thread came up a month ago in August, I didnt beleive I'd seriously think of this coming true.. Runescape seemed so stable, so perfect... I didn't even think how much would change, that Jagex would make such horrible marketing mistake as with that new interface update... Now, hey, topicstarter over there, have you been trying predicting future before???
  9. Me - I'm still in the very beginning, and I'm almost jealous to myself. What I mean - just to think that all those great riches and quests and undiscovered territories are still mine to conquer and reach and find out. It's amazing feeling. I played other MMORPGs before (namely, UO), and I know that kind of emptyness in the heart you feel when you are 99lv in everything, been everywhere, know everything, have all the money in the world... I'm so grateful to creators of this game for giving me the chance to marvel at all these new lands and skills and riches still laying in wait at my feet waiting to be discovered. This is going to be a very interesting year ahead  And, yeah, I play for myself. I'm not really PK type of person, I'm more fond of amassing riches, skills, being able to craft the best things, finishing all quests - things like that..
  10. OMG, that seems to be reeeaaally the case  From 70K down to 12 K in one day! :ohnoes: Now, being a member, really teaches you to value in-game money. Anyone wants to buy few uncuts?
  11. Thanx, people, for the warm welcome!!! Yeah, I too did almost all of the F2P quests (except for Shield & Dragon), had something like 70K on my hands, which I didnt know what to do with, since all the cool stuff is members', and now I'm so glad I'll be really able to make a Hardcore Ranger character :3> Cheers to all, and thank you very much!!!
  12. Thanks to Jagex, this is really great game! After 3 weeks of playing as F2P, I'm now a member! Sorry if posting things like that are old story here - I just haven't found anything like that. Something like "New Members Welcome" thread :) Cheers!
  13. Aww, come on, think free, those schoolmates of yours are nothing, in a year or so you'll depart and go on your own road in life and will never see these kids again, who cares what they think? Don't learn to be a conformist, free spirit is way more important for a human being, than opinion of several immature kids, whos names you'll probably forget in a few years. Be yourself, do the right thing for yourself, not for them - do not strain your spirit by hiding. And... beleive me, by the time you are halfway through college, you'll be laughing on those memories
  14. When I was in school, I didn'tt give a shaitan about what those idiots around me thought. In fact, I enjoyed to be annoyingly different. In school I did alchemical experiments at home, studied Taichi and Kendo, went to Buddhist commune after school and wore a teeshirt with "Chtulhu, Chtulhu, Chtulhu" written on it, and everybody in class were afraid to touch me cause what I did was way too unusual for them. Runescape, of course, is not Kendo, but it's still important to remember, that you don't necessarily have to care about what others think of you.
  15. Uhh, well, I don't think it's really a complete waste, cause cooking guild is primarily geared for pies. As long as you enter it carrying 28 wheats, you can find everything inside to cook 28 apple pies. And for new player it's the best HP-restoring item until you get to Lv40 in cooking/fishing. I'd love to see more respawns in Cooking Guild, such as tomato&cheese and more bowls/dishes. Then it definitely will make pizza and stew more competitive.
  16. I beleive, if Jagex were to change or remove all of the old tunes, there would be huge outcry, cause many people might have strongly identified Runescape with some music to the state of conditional reflex. Here's a prank you could do: Get any of the most well-know Runescape tunes into your mobile phone, make it play in crowded place, like train station, and see how many heads would suddenly start turning, looking for the source of familiar sounds, while their index finger would begin flexing uncontrollably, trying to set a flag for their next walking destination... But seriously, anyone checked, in what format are tunes in RS stored on the PC?
  17. Well, as for food remains... I beleive, the game presumes that you carry with you only the edible parts, such as lobster meat, and tuna steaks, and the images of fish and lobsters in the inventory are just pictorial icons - for clarity sake (I remember in Morrowind you could hardly tell crabmeat from other alchemy ingredients without actually highlighting it - all because it looked "realistic"). And i don't think that fishcooking needs to be handicapped - too much outcry this will cause. But cooking - yeah, that definitely needs enhancing for f2p especially. I've run a small study yesterday, comparing lobsters and f2p's most efficient non-lobster dish - anchovy pizza. In a word - lobsters seem to be around 30-50% more efficient than anchovy pizzas in terms of sheer xp/gold gain. Me - I still cook anchovy pizzas for meself when I go fighting monsters, but for sale - it's lobs, unfortunatelly. I'll post this full study here (after I polish it up a bit), so it would be evident, which exactly aspects of cooking must be tweaked to make it more attrtactive.
  18. Yeah, you're right, I often see PKs fishcooking themselves. But then again, if you manage to get an open-end contract with a hi-level player who's just too bored to fishcook and doesn't know the count of all their money [v smysle, ne znayet scheta svoim den'gam :)], then pizzas and hi-level pies would be great solution. I do hope to be able to educate a few hi-level PKs into buying the right stuff from me, once the business relations are built  And I do find cooking guild very convenient, as one can make hundreds of dough or pizza bases quickly, due to its proximity to the bank. While with lobsters - it's such a hassle for f2p to travel between Karamija and Draynor bank every 25 lobbies... Makes up for extra hassle with pizza ingredients, IMO Isn't Shark, being such a hi-level fish would require you being on hi level at cooking? I mean - you've got to be member and level 80 at cooking just to be able to cook them (90+ to cook efficiently, without burning)? And at that cooking level wouldn't you rather cook things like wild pies, or other more interesting stuff (tuna potato, for instance - 22hp).
  19. I've been wondering why lobsters are so much more popular with PKers, than, say, anchovy pizzas. Is it just ignorance, or anything else? IMO having a 0.5-slot item that heals 9hp in one click is not worse than having 1-slot item healing 12hp per click. I mean, with anchovy pizzas you can carry 360hp in 20 slots, while with lobbies you can only carry 240hp in the same 20 slots. And 9hp vs 12 hp isn't too lame even in the middle of the battle? Or am I wrong? Then, having high cooking means twice less time for cooking your lobsters (as you'd burn less). Also high cooking means cooked Swordies, which is better than lobbies even for ignorant PKs And when I get member (that will happen in a week or so) I'll be able to cook pieapple pizza, and it will be a 11hp per click, 0.5-slot item, definitely this beats lobsters. And then there will be wild pie, healing 11hp per click, 0.5-slot item, with added +5 Slayer, +4 range... And then it will be Tuna potato, 22hp per click - I'd dare anyone take on this. Manta rays at 22hp, Sharks, etc.. Well, it looks to me that cooking is far from dead... But then again, I's just my third week into RS...
  20. Paaahlliiiz, do not compare RS with WoW, cause it's pretty different - Runescape has no advertisement whatsoever, all new players come by word of mouth. Game magazines ignore Runescape cause it isn't commerce haven (and game magz love commercial games that pay $$$ for advertisement and even for being mentioned). Basically, Runescape is one of the last "By gamers - for gamers" things, and still, in this totally unfriendly real-life environment where suits measure everything in money and only money - Runescape still manages to be competitive... Got to think of it - RS has no shaders or mega-graphix, but it still rocks and rolls as one of the world's most popular entertainment...
  21. Oh, my g*d... Read carefully, least the accusations of Runescape being the most illiterate game are true. 5% (well, 6% already) is the World's 4th place in total and second place among English-speaking MMORPGs.. 6% in this business is A LOT. It's millions of Euros!
  22. http://www.mmogchart.com and Bruce Sterling Woodcock rated world's MMORPGs, and the result was stunning: Percentage of players (of total MMORPG players in the world) No. 1 - World of Warcraft - 50.6% of players No. 2 - Lineage (Korean-speaking mostly) with 11.6% No. 3 - Lineage II (Also mostly Asian-speaking) with 10.1% No. 4 - RUNESCAPE with 5.43% Which makes Runescape World's No.2 English-speaking MMORPG Everquest I & II are only No.6&7 Star Wars Galaxies is measly No.8 Etc. Hourray!
  23. I don't know whether it's a scam or just being annoying, but recently I've been selling colored capes (I'm only my 2nd week into Rscape), people were buying them for like 100g, which is okay money for me at the moment and let's me practice at player interaction, but anyway, one guy bought a yellow cape from me for 100g ("thick yellow cape"), and then he goesl like: Him: "Lol, it's worth 1 million, you didn't know it, u'r noob!" Me: "Sure, okay :ohnoes: " (not knowin cuz maybe he's right??) Him: "Okay, since u're noob I will give it back to you" :boohoo: Me: "Well, okay" (still wondering whether he cud be right) Him: "For 1k" Me: "Nope!" =; After that I went and quickly dyed black cape to check - well, I was right, it's simply black cape dyed with 2 onions and 5 gp, so it cannot be worth more than 100gp for all that trouble
